How to calculate dTons of a ship?

So I'm working on a ship concept, and I've got its physical dimensions down, but I want to know how many tons to give it for creating it stats. It's a rocket with a diameter of 28 meters and a length of 78 meters. The engine takes up the back 33.5 meters, which leaves the 44.5 meters for the mission...

Re: Pirates of Drinax Part 9

Matt, there's a separate link. I had to "buy" this file again in the 9-pack after I had downloaded the 8-pack last month.

This is an exceptional adventure. It's going down in history as one of the greatest campaigns ever written. I'm seriously thinking it's Traveller's Great Pendragon Campaign.

Re: Star Wars 7 A Force Awakens or A New Set of Armour...

My ranking was always thus: Speed: Star Wars, Star Trek, Traveller Communications: Star Wars, Star Trek, Traveller Shields: Traveller (black globes, anyway), Star Trek, Star Wars Weapons: Complicated: Traveller has meson guns, which are likely the best beams, while Star Trek's torpedoes have FTL cap...

Yeah, Star Wars fans like to try and say that turbo lasers aren't lasers when they want to win the Empire vs Federation debate.

Re: Star Wars 7 A Force Awakens or A New Set of Armour...

Uh, ever taken a serious look at the costumes and hairstyles from ANH? Talk about stuck in disco. But no, I haven't yet seen the chrome trooper. I don't think the new stormtrooper armors are an improvement. The face is funny looking. Not that the stormtroopers have ever looked cool. Only the royal g...

Re: Creating an adventure for sale?

I've published for Mongoose in several supplements, and on my own. As others have said, make sure you read the dev pack multiple times.

If you need any tips or advice, I'm available to chat via PM! :D

The first Thunderegg GM screen is out!

Hi, guys. Just wanted to let you know about it. And thanks for the feedback. I did use it as a guide for what to include. It's available at this link. Keep track of the rules you use most frequently in your Traveller games with our new referee screen. You get 8 pages with tables, rules summaries and...

Re: If you could change space combat, how would you do it?

You know, it states in the rules that any fix to a ship in combat breaks down immediately after the battle's over.

If you could change space combat, how would you do it?

So I'm working on a project. I want to know what you, reader, would change about the way space combat works in MgT if you had the opportunity to do so? I'm interested in the following: What do you like/dislike from High Guard? What functionality would you like to see given to the different crew posi...

Board Them! does nothing

In High Guard, the order named Board Them! does nothing. There is no effect. Has there been any errata?

Who runs the sensors?

In battle, under which position does the Sensor Operator fall? It's not listed as a position on the first page of the Space Combat chapter, but then later on Sensor Locks and Electronic Warfare are mentioned as operations the Sensor Operator can perform.

Re: Kickstarting Traveller Products

Anything by Kevin Crawford is fantastic. He doesn't run a campaign until the entire draft is written and in layout. He then uses the funds to pay for art and advertising. His model, which he details in his KS descriptions, is ideal.
