Re: Pirates of Drinax - Now on Drivethru!

Hi Matt, Will you be doing a pre-order and get the PDF free arrangement with Pirates? You can also pre-order the printed edition (appearing later this year as a true heavyweight with three full colour hardback books and a massive double-sided poster map, all bound together within a slipcase) right ...

Re: Tripwire, the Adventure ***contains spoilers***

Thank you Jmisbest. I don't mind people using this write up to run their own adventures because they are basically getting a very watered down version of the adventure. And frankly, I don't get to run very frequently, so they have a bit of a wait between posts. As far as a legal point of view, I'm n...

Would you say that the contention within the group about the data stick is more between players or between characters that the players are role playing as in disagreement?
I would say it's primarily between characters, as all the players get along very well.

Re: Tripwire, the Adventure ***contains spoilers***

Thanks paltrysum. I have every intention of taking them through the Fifth Frontier War, and it teally does depend when Expedition to Zodane comes out whether I use it with this group or not. As it stands, there is contention within the group as to what to do with the data stick. Some want to just fo...

Re: Skill check when specialty not mentioned

I would use the flat 0.

I would ask if they were taking their time, reducing the target number to 4. Easy enough to achieve.

Re: Conversions from other systems

It would certainly be highly unusual, but you are of coarse able to to whatever you wish in YTU. I'd be a bit worried it would break the genre for the players unless you could come up with a vslid psuodo-science explaination for it. Such as the undead are the result of an alien fungus infection.

You might be right h1ro. Seems like all the grognards are MIA.

I'll just assume the answer is 'no'.

Lentuli Subsector

A question for the grognards. We know that during the Ziru Sirka the Empty Quarter was known as Gushgus Sector. My question is, what was the Lentuli Subsector named? We know that it was the Marhaban Subsector during the Rule of Man, but what about before, or has that not been "recorded" so it's open...

Re: Forbidden Planets

Brown dwarves, nebulas, protostars, black holes, super earths are all some of the possibilities. Along with systems with multiple stars. Gas giants as well? I like the way gas giants are handled in T5 actually, though they don't get quite large enough. Also a discussion on what constitutes a hot Ju...

Re: Forbidden Planets

How frequently would Traveller need to be updated and expanded? Monthly? Who knows, eh? It certinaly would be ofassistance to by up to date with current scientific views. It would be grand as a regular PDF adding options for referees and players. Anyway, it's not a post about an update to Traveller...
