So you guys are of the opinion that E-Mines are overpowered? I'd say 'over-effective'. I don't mind the AD or the special effects, just the excessive effect they have in terms of multiple targetting. If the normal e-mine were Weak, and/or the recently proposed idea of giving them a -1 on the damage...

There was, it was somewhere here on the forum, not in any print product.

leave the range alone, thats what makes them fun to play against and anyway the AD will get reduced in SFoS Rather than range or AD, I'd like the radius of effect reduced by 1 inch. That would stop them dominating the entire battlefield but still allow them to force the opposition to break up his f...

Re: Part Three: Basing

Step-by-step process for using brass rods to base your ships: Needed tools: 1/16" brass rod 3/32" brass rod Dremel or saw Same method I use. Are those the very smallest two sections of brass? As I'm basing Fleet Action minis I use the smallest - those look thicker by comparison to a Mongoose mini. ...

I vote no. Reduce the Radius, reduce the AD, whatever, but no more 1/10" measuring arguments.

doesn't say weather it splits dice like the standard beam or not. It'll be same as non-Beams then. That would make a sensible addition to the Mini-Beam rule, and limit their use sensibly. Non beam weapons have no restriction on splitting AD, so that makes Mini Beams more powerful than BEams in that...

although i do think that Mini-Beam should lose AF because fighters are one of the few ways to get round dodge and that is just too unfair to do that A thought occurs to me. What are the rules on splitting dice on Mini-Beams? If they are the same as Beams, it becomes a matter of keeping Flights spre...

Mongoose are making money out of the setting far, far more than from the system. It also costs them more to license. Therefore, the Babylon 5 logo should be prominent.

I prefer the new one, but with the old blue/yellow colours on the '5'. I don't like the red.

Drazi. Prior to SFoS, I'd try and fit in a couple of Darkhawks (but as of SFoS the 3 AD missiles make them a poorer choice), a Solarhawk (although only at Raid or higher level) and a few Warbirds, with at least a Sunhawk or two (one point's worth, whatever the level). Post SFoS the Nightfalcon & Sto...

Re: Ion Cannon

Fairly unlikely given that the Mag Gun is a railgun delivering a mini nuke... How's that a beam? I don't know about it firing Nukes, but it is meant to be a MAGnetic accelerator, or Railgun. The Beam factor probably represents the big solid metal projectile tearing through the target ship, rather t...

It seems to me the people who say 'no' do so for game balance rasons, while the people who say 'yes' do so for realism/simulation reasons.

Guess which side I'm on :)

Wulf: The sunhawk was spectacular, both for the 12/12 damage it produced with a single round from a single weapons system, and for the pretty explosion which happened during the return fire. That managed to knock out all the interceptors on 3 EA ships, and gave you clean shooting at them for the re...

With both sides locked in a close, swirling battle, with massive ammounts of damage flying every way, and ships exploding left and right, the Brakiri forces made a cowardly surrender to the Earth Alliance, and the few remaining Drazi ships, forced to admit their fleet could only survive if they did,...

I seem to have lost the sheet I calculated my force on, however as I know the couple of ships that are NOT taking part, it's easy to recalculate.. League for the moment, until the full Drazi fleet appears :D

Actualy I have played some games with my own Drazi ships already, and against my regular opponent we try to play different forces every game. But for campaign play, currently I'll stick to League, right now Brakiri & Drazi.
