I've never had a player who couldn't (or wouldn't) do that. I've been playing RPGs since 1981. Gamers are a pretty intelligent lot, at least the ones I know. We are indeed and he is as well which is why it's super-frustrating for the guys in my group that we can't break him of this habit. Un...

If they fail the Spot check, the characters have no idea what is about to happen. It doesn't matter if the Players are aware they are about to get it. And that works fine unless you have a player in your group who can't or won't keep character knowledge separate from player knowledge. Or mak...

Well, one of the downsides to multiclassing is that a character that does so will miss out on the higher level class abilities that a single-class character has access to. Maybe not too much of a loss in the eyes of some but still.... I guess it all depends on how you wanna build your character, whi...

This adventure is now available in .doc format, with layout, index, artwork and all. It is 12 pages long (807kb). Just send me a PM including your e-mail and I'll send it to you! /wolf ps. Artwork is borrowed/stolen from the web of course I didn't draw'em myself. Just keep that in mind. Hey, Wolf, ...

No, I'm not. Though, having said that, I'll probably buy it when it comes out on video. I'm not much of a TV watcher (can't stand the commercials). From what little I have seen of it, it does look pretty well done. There's a number of actors in it that I enjoy seeing. 'Course, never having read the ...

It was sort of a What Would Conan Do kind of post. Apropos of nothing at all in this thread, I just had to say that I would love to have a shirt with "What would Conan do?" (accompanied by a suitable image, of course, so as to avoid the misperception of it being a reference to Conan O'Brien or anyo...

But, still, wouldn't the slave hunting be easier accross different borders? Well, their options are kinda limited, yes? I mean, Vanaheim only borders on Asgard, Pictland and Cimmeria (oooh, wonderful choices there for potential slaves  ); Asgard on Vanaheim and Hyperborea (same); Hyperborea on...

There is some stuff on Tortage in Cities of Hyboria, but I doubt it goes into the detail of this article. There's also a map and fairly lengthy write-up on Tortage in Argos and Zingara. Whether this is the same information from the article, I don't know (but it could be). The S&P "Tortage" article ...

If anyone needs some earlier no-longer published stuff :?: How much earlier are we talkin' here? The only stuff I'm missing is the pre-PDF, non- Conan Compendium material. Being print material from waaay back, I'm not holding out much hope of ever obtaining it. :( If, however, that's just the stuff...

First off, let me add my thanks to Vincent for all these wonderful NPCs. This really is a treasure-trove of material for any Conan GM. :D However, I just took a look at the Famous Fallen document and it appears that Livia, Salome and Tascela all have Conan's stat block listed instead of their own. :...

The maps are good Maps? What maps? I'm pretty sure I didn't get any maps in the .zip file. Are they the same ones found on Thulsa's site under Regional and Site Maps ( http://hyboria.xoth.net/maps/index.htm )? I'd very much appreciate a little clarification. Thanks. By the by, thanks again,...

Matt, I just wanted to add my thanks as well, not only to you but to all the folks who worked on this material in any way, shape or form. I was truly stoked when this was set for release last year and subsequently kinda crushed when it was pulled. I really appreciate that you guys chose to release i...

Friend of mine got it and gave me as a gift. Normally, I don't watch "pirate copies" but this time I was defenseless. Some time ago I went to the light side of the Force :). But don't worry, from what I read on REH forums, it 's gonna be released on DVD this June (perhaps it was mentioned June 11th...
