Hmmm my thoughts on this is to REMEMBER THAT CIMMERIA is like the Highlands of Scotland, climatically and culturally. The highlanders were not known as bowmen, maybe due to the fact that to find and select great bows and numerous arrows, a lot of wood is needed. That's why the southern Celts in Wal...

They sure will, when they're to defend their own land. In that case they'll use traps, bows, ambushes, boulders thrown off canyon walls, barricades and whatever necessary. When they should act as invaders though, I doubt in their setting traps. Effective use of traps is only reasonable hwen one know...

But how much of the time has he spent dreaming lotus dreams or just meditating? I'd vote: most of it. I'ts the matter of defining longevity, in which I believe to be in opposition to most people here. Living a "regular life" for millenia and maintaining the same visible age at the same time doesn't ...

Re: A Questing Newbie With Questions (And Exposition)
Read the chapter on descriptive combat in the Core rule book. And, the mass combat systems have narrative options. Where would that be, exactly? I've skimmed through the book but found nothing. I like the episodic, almost random, continuity of the system and it meshes perfectly with how Howard pres...

I don't think that longevity would be used by players, unless the entire all the PCs are to possess that ability. And for NPCs it would be enough to simply rule that they can induce some coma-like state through meditation and stop aging as long as they remain entranced. Their minds can be free to co...

I remember seeing a rule about "Language Similarity" that showed which Hyborian Languages are similar enough that if you spoke one, you could make yourself understood in the others (if only in very basic form). I do not remember that but you can always try using the races table on p.15 of the 2e ru...

For example, I might use the rules in the Players Guide, and that thing is full of circumstance bonuses. Oh, I see. I'm using the main rulebook only at the moment. But if there is significant number of those bonuses to mark upon the sheet, then indeed it might be a problem. I just put an asterisk n...

BTW, my book doesn't say "Attempt". It says "elect to declare", leading me to think the point is spent after a successful attack, before damage is thrown. So is mine. :D I just haven't noticed it. In this case I think you may be right. Still, I like my reasoning. I thought about that and like the i...

Well, according to the book... I've no idea. However, a Mighty Blow is something that you ATTEMPT to do in order to crush your foe. Therefore I vote for spending the Point BEFORE the throw, as you've already put all your strenght in it, hit or not. So you miss, you lose the Fate Point. And about the...
