The WaS line of prepaints faces a bit of a problem in that they chose their own scale rather than trying to fit into an existing scale. So many people have 1/2400 to 1/3000 scale ships already that the WaS 1/1800 scale look out of place on the same table. I'm not going to spend money on a new fleet...

Splitting Fire ?

Reading the rules I understand that secondaries and AA can split fire between different targets. What about main battery turrets. I undersatnd a single turret cannot split fire, but can two different turrets fire at different targets? The wording in the rules make it sound like they cannot. This doe...

Quick reference sheet

Anyone have a pre-made reference sheet? I am thinking with sequence of play, key tables etc. I was surprised this was not in the book. Still waiting for OOB to arrive if it is in there.

Appreciate any help.

Some of the WAS models do need some work, but for the price and durability I am not aware of anyhting better without extensive time in assemby and painting involved. You are correct about the WoW models...I cannot wait...

Thanks...these seem to cover most of what is in the book.

Anyone have a database or site for other ships? I am guessing there has to be one out there if I know wargamers.

May I suggest you look into the War at Sea line of minis? They are 1/1800 scale prepainted plastic models. I am told they will work with VAS by others who play both and is what I plan to try. I have seen many very nice modifications of the WAS models as well as scratchbuilds. If you want to check so...

Ship data in electronic format?

Hello, I am new to the game, but not wargaming. In fact I am so new I have not actually played VAS yet, but have the rule book and a copy of the OOB and AoD is on the way as well. These days not playing many wargames, but when I get home I look forward to starting again. I have played a number of ot...
