This gets even more ridiculous when bays arrive. A small bay throwing 12 missiles or a large bay throwing 20 missiles defeated by a single beam laser and a single point defence roll. In the current rules 'large' bays fire 24 missiles, not 20. Even worse if one beam laser can auto kill the whole lot...

Maybe one power per turret just to power the turret and systems then give Missiles and Sand power 0. So a triple laser is 13 power not 12 but a triple missile is 1. If they are allocating power to sensors and systems in high guard then adding turrets isn't going to be a big problem and you can just ...

Smart Missiles, even if fired from the same turret at the same time, should not all impact on the exact same part of the hull. Those Gunners need a full sized top of the range coffee machine to keep them focused :D As for the power cost. For the standard ships the fuel used is a lot less than first edition which makes it very easy to simply add a bit of extra fuel. For example the Free and Far Traders (60 and 75 power) use 1Dton of fuel for two weeks, adding another Dton of fuel is hardly going to be a huge change though the fuel on...

Needs to cover more ships though to allow players to access something other than the Free Trader if they want longer jump range or just something different from their career.
