Is it really 25 years since FOTW came out? That would put me at 13 when I first read it - I'm sure I was younger! But no, 1984 sounds about right. I remember getting FFtD and FotW at the same time and being blown away by them. Soooooooooooooo much better than the Fighting Fantasy gamebooks. I think...

Re: [LWMPG] Alternative take on bonuses at rank 11+

Take a look at the alternative rules document that Hellebore did here:

http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/phpBB ... hp?t=47162

It really is full of good stuff.

Add me to the list for those wanting an Elric scenario book. Could do with one given that I don't get any time to create my own.

Cheers. Yeah, though not much to be honest. Gearing up to run Blood Moon Rising at a local high school game club and then a Con. My wife is tempted to run Terror of the Darklords too :) Cool. I found that playing it, I grasped the rules far easier than I did just reading the books. I think some phy...

This is really great, mate. Kudos to you. I personally wouldn't use it as I've run LW and don't share these problems that others seems to be facing - I just use miniatures and maps as representations (and because the players love seeing a physical representation of their PC - don't we all!) as norma...

Agree with Hellebore on this one, that's the way I have done it. And like Hal says, tournaments and sparring are just opposed skill tests not full blown combat.

If this turns out to be even just half as good as the Sommerlund supplement I'll be a happy camper.

... The setting books set a very high bar with that first effort. I look forward to getting this. Great news and well done Mongoose for sustaining the LW RPG releases - its really appreciated.

There was a company with a name that was something like Dragonblood. I think they've gone out of business now. They did a very good dwarven gunner (his renaissance style clothing went with the older dwarf pictures from the earlier editions). This one: http://www.artemisblacks.com/dragonblood/images...

Have you emailed Mongoose rather than post here? You'll get a better response going direct to them as a proper query rather than just a post in a thread.

That's a shame as those ones look like LW figures too! Yep, which is the main reason for their purchase. I had them pegged as follows: Aurelius the Adept --> Brotherhood of the Crystal Star PC Freyr of the Turning Leaf --> Border Ranger PC Shadowblade Reyviande --> Kai Lord PC Ylvfriodr of Ulfrstad...

Okay chaps, BUYER BEWARE on these Red Box Games miniatures. Although they *are* nice figures some are not 28/30mm scale therefore making them useless to use next to other miniature lines (eg, Reaper). I therefore wouldn't recommend some of them. Specifically, of the 7 figures I purchased the followi...

Okay, I've had a further read... I really like what you've done with the streamlining of difficulty numbers and tasks... It feels like a unified mechanic across all the tiers of play which seems to have a lot more consistency than the official rules. I was going to adopt the discipline usage rules a...

I have yet to update it to include Magnakai disciplines but I put a character sheet together which may be slightly more useful than the Mongoose ones.

Re: So, who got the Star Wars licence?

Immediately the gaming community (ok the d20 community) took to calling it the "SAGA Edition" giving us "Original", "Revised" and "SAGA" editions. Yes I was also working for the company at the time and know the line editor for SW SAGA edition. Which is inaccurate as a rule system exists called the ...

At a Level 3 Tactician, it states you can increase your CS by the number of Crusaders at your command plus 10 points. Does this 10 points continue when you have no Crusaders? if so it makes the combats really easy, but I wasn't sure if it only applied with the Crusaders or not. I'd say it doesn't c...
