It looks like, in this case, Dexterity for robots depends mostly on the quality/type of the manipulator.
Biological Frame gets a roll for Dex
Gyroscope can increase dex by 2
Advanced Reflexes (software) can also increase Dex
And rocket-fists are goofy.

Base them on dire wolves. That would be frightening.

Re: "Shotgun!"
Mithras, if I remember correctly, the High Standard M10 bullpup shotgun was equipped with a flashlight that was focused to cover the shot pattern of the weapon at all effective ranges. The M10 was a semi-auto design that required magnum rounds to cycle the action properly (and failed at that on occa...

Re: [2300AD] Troop Carriers
In Tools for Frontier Living, the Rock Pigeon, the Rooivalk, the PSY-55, the CRV-22 (the ORCA), and even the Colussus can be used as troop carriers, while from the Core book the Howie and the Gull can be used in that role as well.

More of a "booklet", really. Some additional chassis types and modifications, along with rules for creating vehicular drones and robots, ultra-heavy vehicles, and a bunch of new weapons. The part I'm working on right now are the design examples.

Just finishing off the Vehicle Upgrade book for Traveller, then I will be working on Salvage Rights and the French Arm Sourcebook. Tools needed to be finalized before I could finish the French Arm.

Re: Traveller 2300ad?
The original Traveller:2300/2300AD was the future of the Twilight:2000 setting, which was a possible future for the late 1980's, when the games were written. The current version of 2300AD takes place after Twilight, a period of chaos sometime in the first half of the 21st century. While Twilight inc...

Thank you. Much of the book is designed to be usable in any setting. It's all things that I myself wanted to see myself.

Re: 2300AD: Tools For Frontier Living. The Art.
As the author of this book, I am quite proud of what I wrote. I think it represents a very good resource for creating the feel of the Frontier in 2300AD (or any setting), along with a good selection of civilian-oriented equipment, vehicles, and weapons. So it has that going for it. I also created th...

Re: 2300 Ship Shares
Typically, the balance of that mortgage would be held by a foundation, corporation, or government, and so the ship would be required to attend to their needs a certain amount of the type, often by being roving troubleshooters or high-value couriers. Since the PCs are the crew, crew costs are not a m...

I have no intention of doing anything with 61 Cygni space. Ever. Beta Aquilae space, yes. 61 Cygni, no. That is a player sandbox, as far as I am concerned.

Re: schematics request
Are you talking about the big French Dreadnought from 2320, which has an image on the Etrangre site? Short answer? I don't know. We never actually determined what the design was. Figure 5000-10000 tons or so, four heavy laser in heavy turret, four heavy particle cannons in fixed mounts, four 80-ton ...

Re: Vehicle Handbook Errata (unofficial)
My apologies. Real life and several writing projects have kept me from responding. The whole Agility question was somewhat complicated, as the Core rules use Agility as a modifier for all control rolls. A tracked vehicle as a low Agility because it is slow, and does not respond as quickly as a wheel...

Re: Vehicle Handbook - Now Shipping!
To be honest, I haven't been following this thread. I've been a little busy. If someone would like to compile a list of errata, and post it, I will try to answer all questions. I cannot speak to any of the designs incuded in the book, as I did not write any of them, but I can hopefully provide some ...

Re: Vehicle Handbook - Now Shipping!
Some of the confusion may be due to the difference between a ton in the ship design system which is a measure of volume (displacement), and weight in the vehicle design system. The shipping size of a vehicle is the volume of a box placed around the vehicle, so there is waste space, likely between 33...
