Re: Traveller Online Games

Hi Old Timer, If there is room for one more I am interested in a crew slot. Exploration, Trade, Military...all sound fun. I've never played the Intrepid Journalist or wanna be Journalist, might be interesting if you have room for another player. Maybe a 2 term Scout who got tired of keeping secrets ...

Re: NPCs, PCs, jobs, and motivation.

I could suggest a classical pirate story like "Great Expectations" as the intro to the PCs getting to a ship. It may take a bit of a push to force the Mysterious Benefactor into one or more of the PC’s back stories but then again who could pass up a Mysterious Benefactor? The PC does not know who hi...

Traveller ship miniatures: Good idea for Mongoose as even the non-Mongoose Traveller players would likely buy them (i.e., the CT grognards)

Re: [Spoiler warning] Questions about Chirpers

I believe the old CT book Alien Adventures contained a chapter where high tech Dryone visit the Churpers on Vanjeen to 'save' them or 'up lift' them.

Re: Fiasco - A Traveller Adventure

Thank you for the push. I have been looking at the Fiasco model for creating Solo Play Traveller games for a while but never got arond to it. So once I saw the framework it was fun to type in ideas through out the day. For regular play I would hesitate to use the Family section without a bit of talk...

Welcome Lost Traveller! There are several sites to choose from for Mongoose Traveller (MGT) character sheets. Take a look at Yahoo Groups for Traveller specific material or even The Mad Irishman's site; nothing but character sheets for most games for the past 3 decades. As for Home World selection, ...

Re: New to Traveller - a couple of questions :)

Welcome aboard Eirik! Traveller provides a great many rulesets; Mongoose Traveller just happens to be one of the latest and one of the closest to the original ruleset from the late seventies. As the GM you can run Traveller as a Space Opera or as a Hard Science game or anywhere in between. The basic...

Must be the 'busy' time of the year if no one is beating down the door to join up. We could always run 2 PCs each; one for ship operations and one for away missions (trade, investigations, combat).

Jak, I can't remember any specific details for this activity from any of the versions of Traveller rulesets I have owned over the years. Of course all that really means is that I just don't remember. But I do recall and adventure that specified this very action. I think it is in the JTAS Adventure A...
