librarycharlie,

That was just down-right evil.

Darn good idea though. I like it, mind if I steal it?

I also use a mix of my own stuff along with published adventures. I have stolen several good ideas from various modules and used them in my campaigns. I really have had a lot of fun with using the old Lankhmar modules with Conan. :)

I did go out and buy the new Star Wars Saga edition, which was a "test run" for the new 4.0 D&D rules. I was not impressed. It seems to me that they are going heavily towards a miniature rules set to support their "minis" combat line versus the more roleplaying side of the house. :? Just my two copp...

Cool cover, but I do have one point of order. Why is Conan holding his sword in his left hand? If memory serves, he is right handed!

Ooooopppppsssss!

I ran a campaign a couple of years ago, where the actual "plotter" to take over the throne was disguised and been travelling with the PC's group (as a player) the whole time to keep an eye on them, sending out secret messages along the way to foil the group's plans as she went along, and to direct h...

I agree that Brian Thompson has the right look to play Conan. I also think The Rock could make a good Conan (with more acting lessons  ). I kinda liked the Scorpian King.

As far as pre-made adventures go, I have found that with just a little tweeking, the old Lankhmar modules from TSR work fine for Conan.

I have had a lot of fun running my players through the streets of Lankhmar and its surrounding environs.

I liked Conan the Barbarian. It is a good movie, as long as you take it on its own and don't compare it with the books, plus it had an excellent soundtrack. The Destroyer wasn't too awful. The story line was a little weak, to say the least, but it did have some very good one liners (from Zula and Ma...

Maybe they (Mongoose) pulled it to revamp it for 2nd ed. As I recall, the original planned bestiary was drafted under the Atlantian rules.

Just my thought. :?
