Re: Using Legend for SLA Industries

Ta, I for one wasn't aware of these. I will try them out in my Clockwork & Chivalry campaign.

Re: Using Legend for SLA Industries

I feel Legend could use some fleshing out in the area of missile combat for it to fit well in Scifi/modern settings - but there's Mercenary Breed that's in playtesting, isn't there? Looking forward to it really, got a few ideas where to use it. It's been many a year since I GMed SLA, can't really re...

Re: Arms of Legend

Well, healing and other potions are IN the book, so why drop them? It depends entirely on your style of play, and I for one could use actual prices for certain potions and enchanted items? I mean, you got prices for alchemical tools even, but not for the actual end product. I think Alchemists are al...

Re: Legend 14th Century campaign started

Deus Vult certainly has a pretty narrow focus, if used as is. Personally, I am going to use 'them' as an occasional opponent/ally, depending on the situation. Plus the book has some excellent ideas for running cults, sorcerors, devils and witches, if that's your cup of tea. And some new spells etc. ...

Re: Solomon Kane - Legend Style

I did think about that, but I wanted to keep it as much "Legend" as possible. Truth be told, it is probably easier to just use the Renaissance rules and port in Legend combat. . Or you could get the previous edition, Clockwork & Chivalry, which uses RQII rules = Legend. Just drop the clockwork stuf...

Re: RQII vs. Legend

ok, thanks strega. Sounds like Arms of Legend is worth it then, as I recall the errata for A&E was rather extensive?

RQII vs. Legend

Just a quick question as I am about to order a bunch of Legend books, and already have the RQII main rulebook, and Arms & Equipment - is there any point in buying the Legend editions, other than to support the game? I mean, has A&E been edited to include the erratas or anything?

Re: Why dual-wield? Am I missing something?

What about cases where you're facing an opponent with a double handed or other long weapon? You could parry with your sword so as not get too much damage through, and then maneuvre / close in to stab with you dagger, making the long weapon a disadvantage to the opponent? That is, if I recall the rul...

Re: Campaign advice for technological cults in Legend

Maybe Clockwork & Chivalry, it's got rules for making 'stuff', and the ideology behind this tech is kinda religious- the engineers are called preachers and so on. Although I am not sure if the tech is exactly what you want (wheels and wound springs powered mechanisms), probably not? But it enables y...

Re: Legendary magic items, loot & everyday items?

Seems, though, like any ol' sourcebook would yield clues for the costs of everyday items and common loot. A copper is a copper, and a beer is a beer :? The thing is, which one? It would better be one of the corebooks, because I for one won't be buying each and all sourcebooks available for Legend. ...

Yes, something that would include several power levels (or flexible scaling), so you could decide which ones to use, would be real nice. 8)

Legendary magic items, loot & everyday items?

Premise: it's pretty hard to be a GM when you're busy with work and everyday life, or are just plain too lazy to create some aspects of you campaign world. There is some stuff I'd love to insert straight into my games. One of these things is equipment, magic items, loot and just plain common everyda...

Re: Age of Treason - Updated Preview and map for download

Ok, what I have read about the book here and in the previews convinced me, so I ordered it (and Wraith Recon) from Mongoose. :) This whole Emperor setup inevitably reminds me (in a good way, I might add) of GW's Warhammer 40k universe's Emperor. Kinda like a fantasy version of that, of course withou...
