Re: How much is a pint and other basic RQII questions

Up to you, but when I look around at various rea-world "skill checks" I see that it is far more common for a skilled-worker to attain absolute-succes than absolute-failure. Of course this would still be true for a high skill level, but for a 50% skill there would be 5% chance of critical-success an...

How much is a pint and other basic RQII questions

Yes, I haven't been find a list for regular and all-important ale house items such as beer, ale and pies. While I can always wing it, I thought it a bit odd, as these are always on the top of the list of things my players' PCs (and sometimes the players themselves) seek to buy and consume in copious...

Ok, thanks Colin. But call me a wooden eye, but try as I might, I can't see gun stats in the pdf? Is the A&E book worth buying, considering this large errata, and is there a revised/corrected version available? I guess not? Oops, my mistake, the blackpowder weapons weren't in the errata, sor...

Hey guys, are there blackpowder weapon rules in the Arms and Equipment book for RQII? Just asking, because there is only a limited amount of info about this subject in the C&C sourcebook. Maybe with special fumble tables etc. I got RQ pirates, but as it is for the previous edition, I don't know how ...

Sounds pretty reasonable to me: if you're surrounded, you can't do much dodging. I don't think the intention is to go beyond that, you don't actually need a full extra 10 feet to dodge, just a little more space than the square you currently occupy. But since space is measured by squares...

Re: First Character Almost Completed

We used the PC background material from the Player's handbook as well, it's nice to have some background for the player to build on. It's lot like the old Central Casting's Heroes for Fantasy book, if you're familiar with that one? I happy to say we got all af the books (Fantasy, Moderns, Scifi) th...

Re: First Character Almost Completed

We used the descriptive tools in the 2E Players Guide to put a lot of "meat" on him. His physical description comes directly from an interpretation of his stats. We also used that book to shed clues to his personality. Daggeri is a logical-obsessive. Plus, we used the optional modifiers found in th...

Weapons are for the most part heavy, and using them with precision requires strength. Some don't, of course, but that's what the finesse fighting is for.

Firstly, let me say is no standard size. 28mm is the most popular scale no doubt, but there are plenty of others which are very popular too. Each scale has their up and downsides are suited for particular purposes. All this I say with a  . About those D&D figs, have you tried eBay, they usuall...

Oh yeah, the Italian company Mirliton sells those Grenadier barbarians still. In fact, I have that same barbarian riding a sabre tooth, some more barbs, a shaman/giant snake pack, and a stone statue from their Amazon range. Good stuff indeed.

Plastic soldiers are a good way to collect lots of figs cheaply, but there are some major disadvantages with them: firstly they're usually made of soft 'bendy' plastic which is not very durable, and it can be hard to make the paint stick to them (if you paint them, that is). Secondly they're small s...

I have hoarded some interesting stuff from several manufacturers so far. From Reaper I got a winged ape demon (!), a giant ape, three sasquatch (for your generic demon apes thingies), and of course several barbarians and generic fantasy types. Oh, and the city watch pack and cultists sacrificing a m...

Bugger. That pretty much rules out Zamora as a possible scene, doesn't it.

Is that a sort of 'seas turning into blood' sort thingy then?

That looks a bit too light in colour and looming for sea, surely? More like a sand dune in a desert storm, kind of thing?
