About your proposed solution, Grimolde, I don't see why the order of CAs would be a problem, because wouldn't they be executed in the normal SR order? Quickest goes first (unless he delays?) And which actions would you allow for the defender in the case of multiple CAs? I assuming no movement, becau...

Fair enough, I just wish the designers popped up (hint, hint) to deliver the definite definition othe RAW charge, before we go fixing it? Anyways, I don't think this is as much a problem as you seem to think. But then I assume that the charge occurs on the first SR available for the charger. This is...

Yep, got this one yesterday with the Necromancy book, and this looks very promising indeed. There's an awful lot of useful stuff crammed in this book, I think. Even if you didn't use the Empire rules directly. But I think using them all will give loads of adventure ideas and interesting events that ...

And you can use hero points for extra parries too, right? Although depending on the circumstances, it might best to use them to lessen damage, force a reroll for the opponent etc.

I dunno if there is any RPG at the moment that's doing exactly great? Fantasy Flight Games is doing great with their Warhammer licenses. Some people speculated that FFG was just after GW's board game properties, but now they are actually expanding their RPG line beyond what was originally planned b...

When you refer to miniatures games, are you referring to Pathfinder/DnD or the comment about moving to miniatures made by another poster? Pathfinder seems to be doing very well, arguably better than DnD 4E. I do quite like Pathfinder, it's just I prefer RQ type systems, manly as I feel the combats ...

I dunno if there is any RPG at the moment that's doing exactly great? Even the big ones like D&D seem to be struggling a bit? This may be due to general slump in RPGs, or perhaps due to the changed system (more like miniature combat game than pure RPG these days?) I guess it has always been rather h...

The more I think about this, the more confused I get... Just use common sense, using real life as a guide. Can the charger parry missile attacks with a shield? I say yes, probably at a penalty Hm, maybe. But perhaps only when the shooter is the target of the charge? If the missile attack comes from ...

Well, ok. I take Pete is the author of the rules? But as the rules are written in the book, I don't think that is true? Because for one, sprinting is not listed in CA list? So you can use it only when you're not directly engaged in combat 'rounds'? Whereas move and charge are, so they're different c...

I dont' have my rulebooks handy, so can I ask here if firearms ie. bullets cause impales? In CoC and BRP they do (I think), but I don't recall a mention in RQII (OR C&C)? If not, then I guess bleeding would be the option to go for?

Unless the charging creature willingly stops or is forcibly stopped dead , the charge only allows a single Combat Action for the Attacker, their mount (if combat capable) and the Defender during that round, because the speed of the charging creature carries it clear of the engagement zone. I think ...

Wraith Recon? Makes me think of Ghost Recon the computer game...are the characters some type of special forces leathernecks in this game? That's precisely what the characters are: Marine Force Recon, SAS etc. The book is very good - rich in ideas, demonstrates how RQII can do high-fantasy and...

Re: How much is a pint and other basic RQII questions

Well, it all depends on what you wish. If you wish that blackpowder weapons often should misfire, blow up or so on, then by all means design it that way, even though it may not be historical correct - the style of your setting is what matters the most! Screw history, if you wan't a setting where pi...
