Actually the Russians had a T-34 based glider in the 2nd world war, unfortunatly it was so heavy that the plane that towed it into the air had to be practicaly on the front line anyway because it didn't have the range to tow it anywhere. I like the look of the ZLC2000, that would be a sweet addition...

SST:Classic Ready weapons and hover.

Can a SINGLE ready action be used to ready a weapon and ready a unit to make a specail move such as hover, for example allowing a Skinnie heavy speeder with heavy laser to ready then hover move and fire its heavy laser at the same time?

The easiest way to do it is to roll all the dice together, using different colours for different weapons. I know that, my question is how do you allocate the resulting damage dice? As if you are rolling the dice seperatly (or using different coloured dice) then surely the allocation rules need to b...

Re: Need clarification on a couple things :)

2) When distributing damage dice, obviously 1's are discarded, but are normal misses allocated for calculating supression or only potential hits? In reality any dice that doesn't hit a kill or a target does not need to be allocated (just count them all up for suppression), except in certain situati...

Yup it does look that way Bu, we could argue all day about the difference between automatic fire in close proximity and that of grenades going off. However its one of those little things that could be easily fixed in a FAQ.

'Skinnie' or 'Bug' are hardly better names really. Errr they came with the book..... it would be a rather rum deal to make a wargame based on a novel and then ignore the race names given in the book. Although to be honest, Skinnie could well have just been a derogatory name used by the MI to descri...

I wasn't criticizing you for not liking the name at all!!!! I was merely commenting about people grinding on and on about it . . . . I think it probably more a case that people are fed up of wanting steak and only being given sizzle. Or funny grey dudes with tails . . . . . Naa thats to much of a m...

Yup, or just kids playing.... every tree that was big enough on our farm had a tree house that me my brother and our friends built. We would no sooner finish a tree house as start looking for a new tree to colonize.

There may not be smart grenades, but there are smart soldiers. All this has become redundant. The only problem with the rules is the vagueness about who the grenades are used, not the way the FZ works. I got nothing more to add. True, as according to Darwin combining grenades and all types of soldi...

Well, to take us down memory lane a bit, Matt has ruled in the past that an IED cannot be placed on your own vehicle as it would be an "attack" and thus not permitted. :) As Paladin said earlier in this thread, you could house rule or change the rule to allow it. http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/p...

Fire zones do differentiate grenades don't. When you are using them in a different room you can say you are placing the FZ so that it doesn't catch your own guys. Using the rules as you stand I could jump my SAS out of ambush right into the middle of your squad and then grenade your huys but not my ...
