Ermmmm, chaps, Mongoose have had a blank subsector map to download from the Traveller page for some time now (see bottom of page); http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/home/series.php?qsSeries=51 Yes, but when I tried to use it, I could not get the PDF to open. :( But to your point there are lots of v...

Its here! It made it! Havent had the chance to look it over yet, but so far, most of it looks good. The line drawings that seem to have passed for art in the character section are, well, highly underwhelming.... but I did like what I saw of the starship art. I think there are a few folks on the for...

Why would they not at least get the books they pre-ordered. That just does not make sense. I would look to replace my distributor if that kind of service kept happening.

Just curious, why not just list the PRimary base in the code line and any other bases in the written discription? I admit I have never thought of the old code as meaning the system only had one base. I sort of thought of Airports where I live. When you talk Los Angeles there is the main airport, LAX...

I think that Original is better in the long run. Yes it is harder because it does not come with a ready made fan base, but it does allow for more creative expression if they want to do so.

I can not remember who posted this before, but the idea was given for there to be a main race but in the book it also covered a few of the minor races found in the area. I think this is a great idea. Some of the minor races have enough to be interesting but not enough for their own book. Something t...

I have to say this has been quite an interesting thread.

I am glad Mongoose does nto have D&D and they spend their energy doing the games they do.

Just my Opinion of course.

Re: Mongoose Traveller Setting

does the point buy system make things more even for PCs IYO? Did they get rid of death during generation? I didnt follow the playtest discussions that much. Mike Mike, IMO it has more to do with the GM and the group you are in, then the CharGen system. For me, the point system will make the charact...

We have already started working on Beltstrike - our first campaign for Traveller. Also expect to see one-off adventures in our downloadable magazine, Signs & Portents. I am looking forward to the Beltstrike. Also thanks for adding some one off adventures in the magazine. Those are useful to add int...

Let´s see. It looks as if DP9 has now a stable Line, and nearly every Month came new Minis out. From Striders to Tanks to new or redesigned Gears. Yes, they are starting to catch up to where they were in the mid 1990's. Think of where they could have been had they not lost touch with the fan base b...

I would not want to see HG brought over. It is bad enough what DP9 has done to the line without allowing them any opportunity to touch Mongoose.

I would buy a Cyber book for use with the traveller rules. I would just use it in an ATU rather then the OTU.

That's the concept behind the Azri Drakar setting for my 3rd Party work. Creating a new setting is important if you want a framework that will support your published works in a specific context, and so I hope that this new setting will be interesting enough for the Traveller fans to enjoy it, or at...

Hello dafrca... I meant the whole show. All of it and start again. Ah so almost like what would happen if I were to play Traveller using GZG's Stargrunt/Full Thrust background etc.? If that is right then I would not mind seeing a new background as long as it was very different from the Traveller se...
