I like some of the old FASA stuff, who owns the rights to that nowadays?

The Sky Raiders trilogy was the foundation of one of the best Traveller games I ever played in. 8)

Allso add Luxury, fasion and biological items to the list of items shiped. When the cost and dangers of shiping are within reason, those with power and wealth will try to get more of both. Trade is one of the most usefull ways to do this. War is the other, but tends to be destructive and get people ...

The alternative drives look good for various ATU settings. The warp drive uses -alot- less fuel ( 2% of ships mass per Jn ), while the other 2 move you alot faster. I might be tempted to use the Warp drive in a semi-OTU game but bump fuel use up a bit and make micro-jumping around a system with the ...

In one of my OTU games I had a belter culture that used long duration TL 13+ "bubble" HE Vac suits of 1/2 to 2 dTons in size. They had mini fusion plants and Thurster plats rated for 0.1 G thrust, ect.

Can you say, "Pimp my space suit" :P

Thanks Mattew, This should help, I for one do not like being attacked just for posting an opinion. Traveller is an old game, with many people playing it in their own way. Useing the rules and supplements, that work for their gameing group and leaveing out the things they don't like. With a basic ver...

Nether; The honorverse's 50+G's, übertech weapons, and such are just as bogus as star wars' constant speeds and flying like an aircraft. Actually, if you look closely, you see the honorverse is just "Starfire" redressed. And Starfire is constant speed drives. Don't you like silly sidewall shield te...

A Jump 3 ship has over 20% less payload space than a Jump 1 ship, due to all that extra fuel you are useing up per jump and it's biger JDrive. Allso it's Jump drive is going to cost you over 2 X as much as the one on a Jump 1 ship. The increased investment cost of a higher jump ship, with it's highe...

The subsidized merchants are suposed to be filling the gap, for the worlds with low volumes of passenger and / or cargo needs. Useing a double subsidy system would lead to more graft and bribes, makeing things worse in the long run........... Edit: Worlds that want to increase starship trafic can wa...

Older versions of Traveller did require a dedicated Steward for HP. Also, remember that with the MGT character generation system, Steward-2 is going to be VERY RARE. Steward-0 and Steward-1 are the standards and we should design the system around those skill levels. That Steward-3 character is wort...

I am all for lowering the overhead costs of passenger travel, by cuting down the number of stewards needed. But the head steward / purser and head chef should rate their own staterooms and not have to share. The MGT 3.2 passenger table is not going to get you very many High or Mid passengers on many...
