Re: Core Traveller Release Schedule

YES!

Eagerly awaiting HG.

Also, I would love to know the release schedule of the MGT2 third-party license (OGL/SRD?)... I have two products in layout phases I can release for MGT within a few weeks of having a license, and more "in the pipe".

Re: Enter the Terrans!

This is what I recalled after re-reading my above posts; indeed, for some reason I gave them to small craft despite the fact that they cost MCr1 each.

Re: Enter the Terrans!

Good point - I do not recall why I decided to add them to the small craft. I'll remove them in the next draft.

Re: New Edition of Traveller is Here!

Did I miss something or is there no Iron Man optional rule this time? Or is it reserved for the Companion?

Re: New Edition of Traveller is Here!

Congratulations! I have just purchased it (or course). Downloading as I type!

Now, all we need is a license for 3rd party work... Traveller could now burst forward as the new go-to sci-fi RPG for many people!

Re: Fluid Oceans and Exotic Atmospheres

Also, why a Low (E) atmosphere necessitates fluid oceans? This would usually have water oceans.

Common vehicle Sizes?

I'd like to know the sizes (in Vehicle Book spaces) of the common vehicles provided by the Core Book. This would help the player/referee scale his or her vehicles accordingly and easily grasp what one "space" represents...

Capital ship definition?

P.68 of the main Traveller book draft says:
Capital Ships: Battleships and other ships over 2,000 tons.
But High Guard draft introduction says:
Capital Ship: A military ship of more than 5,000 tons.
Which is the correct definition? I'd go for a 5,000 one...

Missile Prices

I noticed that basic missiles in the current HG2 draft cost Cr250,000 each - 10 times the cost in CT (or in MGT1?). Is there a reason for this? This will make missiles far rarer in use, especially civilian use. Cr25,000 seems more reasonable.

Re: Basic passage again.

Also what about life support equipment tonnage and cost? IIRC stateroom tonnage includes such machinery and not just the stateroom itself.

Enter the Terrans!

Now that I have detailed several Reticulan ships, here are us, the Terrans of the 23rd century, who threw off the Reticulan yoke! Long live the United Terran Republic! Most of these ships are built by TAMI - Terran Arms & Military Industries. Let's start with the TAMI "Bumblebee" Light Fighter, whic...
