Re: Pourne, Drinax and Asim

Thirdly, as noted, Oleb may have paid them off - or, more deviously, paid off enough internal factions to keep the government paralysed. I doubt it'd be with advanced tech, though. High TL tech is Drinax' one sustainable advantage, whilst priceless works of art and their associated cash value are a...

Re: MgT HG 2e Special Fuel Tanks (Collapsible, Demountable, Drop Tanks)

In my 40 years with Traveller never have I ever heard that fuel bladders are permanently integral to a cargo hold. There is no rule that says they are permanently fixed, nor is there any rule that says they are removable. By default components are permanently fixed, so I assume Collapsible Tanks ar...

What do you call a female Aslan with 2 brain cells. Pregnant 5 Vagrs go into a TL 10 carwash, which is the only 1 with more then 1 braincell, the 1 not on A TL 11 Racing Class Hoverbike How do you confuse A Hiver. Show him or her TL 10 versions of A Axe and A Spade and ask him or her to take his or...

Re: Star Wars Gozanti-Class Cruiser

Does the Gozanti carry marines..or in this case Stormtroopers? Not that we've seen on-screen. It's mainly an escort/cargo hauler. I wouldhave made it 400, 500 or 600 tons; good work, though. Of course, if I were to do SW ships the Tantive 4 wouldve been 600 to 800 tons. My original design was 400dT...

Re: Ship's Locker: Out of the Closet

The price was revised. Possibly after I suggested cobbling any number of floaters together and using that contraption instead of an air/raft. They wouldnt use that contraption; not because of the price, but because it IS a contraption. And besides, if we use the CT rule, an air raft becomes 10000 C...

A floater costs twenty four thousand CrImps.

A grav belt a cool hundred kay schmuckers.

I don't see mom and dad getting you that gravity surfing board anytime soon.
A floater? TL 10. One TL later, its 2400 cr.

Re: Interstellar law in non-aligned space

Depends on where you take it. Each system would have its own laws. Theev might get you whatever crime syndicate you run into, while Palindrome probably has something closer to the Imperium, except for being mostly for the benefit of the local oligarchs. Meanwhile, Noricum has a TL of 1, so they have...

Re: Modular Lego Ships

If the ship is Jump capable and in any shape to haul off it will end up in a galactic chop shop. :) Theev probably runs one to keep things Core book related. What to do with a ship given the 1st edition warnings of molecular markings is up to each GM. personally the trope of the used and slightly s...

Re: Star System Naval Reserve

I figure that any planet with a port of A, B or even C with TL of 10+ and population digit of at least 5 will be able to build system defense of some sort. IMTU systems are more populous, and B and C ports can build larger hulls than regular Traveller permits (it makes my game more interesting, to m...

I think the Phin and the Florani are good choices. I would also like to see the Newts and Virushi. Many have been detailed over the years. I also like the inspectors race on Regina...can't think of their name off the top of my head. I'd like to second the votes for Floriani, Newts and Virushi. What...

Re: Illustration: Monopede Fast Attack

Wasn't there a TV show back in the late 80s that used monowheels?
The bad guys used some sort of mind control that left lesions and was cured by the sun. But I can't remember the name.

I always assumed that the g carrier was vacuum proof. And TL 10. Agreed in the vacuum but, don't have my 1st ed rulebook available right now, but I seem to recall it being TL15 last time too..? I'm thinking about making mine vacuum-proof but no life-support, to save space. It wouldn't leak air, and...

Re: Law level for augments?

Something like an Int or Dex boost, not so illegal.
Implanted comms or computer, same.
Dermal armor ... no if jack or mesh, maybe if cloth, yes if higher. Though less if its biotech in origin.
Impkanted weapons are almost always illegal, especially if guns.
