Re: A few points regarding 2e so far.

I havent realized the prices of the PDF copies are so high, but on that note does Mongoose still do the Bit and Morter system where if you buy a hardcopy you get a pdf for free? Hope so. The Traveller Core Rule Book, 2nd Edition is £30 for the hardback. How much are they asking for the PDF on its o...

Re: A few points regarding 2e so far.

You are utterly glazing over my points. It is not as simple as 'it is stealing'. I have no other way to acutally show my players how to play without asking 4 people who are completely new to the system to pay £30 on a whim of a game. That is not a neglible sum. Additionally, as I have pointed out s...

Re: Core Rule Book Version 2 - very well done Mongoose!

I look forward to the next batch of releases. Is there an ETA for the printed editions of High Guard, Central Supply Catalog, and the three adventures? Is a new edition of Mercenary in the works? There is always this http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/releaseschedule but it tends to be very optimist...

Re: Core book beta discount code...

One small point I wanted to raise - we are (of course!) more than happy for everyone to avail themselves of this offer, but please be aware that, despite the leaps and bounds made in POD technology over the past few years, there is a difference in quality between this edition and the 'proper' print...

Fabulous! This month will see TWO books that will rewrite how I run RPGs - Traveller 2e and "Gamemastering" by Brian Jamison (available for free from http://gamemastering.info/).

Now that the latest Traveller has arrived in Swindon, when will it 1) arrive at UK distributors and 2) when will it arrive at shops?

Re: Ship Design Philosophy

Recent and not so recent revelations on the most expensive weapons programme in history, tends to make me cynical on the multirole, as opposed to the multipurpose, issue. Ah - the F-35 - had to Google that :) Even I have heard it has software problems... OK, considering humanity has been developing...

Re: [GK Games] More Updates!

So I downloaded all the updates for the material I had previously bought and it went well with the exception of this file: SS4_Sequoyah_OGL.pdf Batch down load and individual down load both had corrupt copies and were unreadable. Odd. I will see what I can do but things like this are usually a DTRP...

2000AD named city blocks after celebrities of the day (at least in the Judge Dredd comic strip they did).

Re: Contacts and Allies over interstellar distances

Not at all. If you have a contact or an ally you can call on them to help you out - that is the whole point. If you want some superb ideas I can recommend buying Gamemastering by Brian Jamison or you can even get a free copy here: http://www.gamemastering.info/ It is a superb reference for fleshing...

Lasers on contemporary aircraft

I never thought I'd see the day when contemporary aircraft were equipped with laser weapons. It is getting closer, but it is not quite here yet.

Re: 2300AD: Atlas of the French Arm

I am waiting for the Traveller ruleset to come out in hardback before investing in this.. can't really play any of it without the base rules. My only other rules are Megatraveller! Cant wait! At least it would give you something to read, beforehand. Do you have the 2300AD rulebook or other books as...

2300AD: Alien Races

A few questions about the 2300AD Rule book. * I am OK with uplifted Dolphins but what is a Neo-Fin? * On Page 109 there is a picture of the various races. There is no caption to state which is which. I have some idea about them but would really appreciate if someone could state which figure is which...

Re: 2300AD: Atlas of the French Arm

Good news! My copy of AotFA arrived this week so I've bought it at my FLGS. Observations: Hard back, matt and gloss cover, contents but no index or glossary. art is better, 240 glossy pages. This book is built to be used heavily and last a long time. And it is gorgeous. I've had a quick look through...
