Re: Mongoose News - The Printed Edition of Traveller has Arrived!

In order to support my FLGS I waited like a kid on the day before Christmas. Well today Christmas arrived. I am now a proud owner of a brand new 2e Mongoose Traveller core rule book in Hardback. I waited patiently for the book to arrive in Travelling Man, Newcastle. Was worth the wait :)

Ancient Aliens on History: Is the Moon a space station? Good gods, are there people who actually believe this crap? (wait, there are people who genuinely think the earth is flat, of course there are some who believe the moon is a space station). I view the moon as a space staion in waiting. One day...

Precognition means the Dungeon Master has to figure out how he wants the story to go.
As a GM of a game, I use precognition about the forthcoming game to know well enough to disallow players from having precognition skills :)

Paint

Hi,

We are currently using water based paints by "Coat d'arms".

I was wondering if "Daler-Rowney System 3 acrylic paint" (from Amazon) would be suitable as well?

Any other suggestions welcome :)

Guide to painting

Hi All,

Am looking for a painting guide for a friend who wants to paint Judge Dredd figures. Any suggestions?

Re: Traveller Starter Box Set - Player Input...

We are currently putting together a starter box set for Traveller, to be released a little later this year. Basically, it will have the rules of the current Core Rulebook (we were going to strip them down, but decided that would not really help anyone - plus, the original starter set did not skimp ...

Had to refresh my memory via https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Dwa ... agazine%29.

The White Dwarf "Best ofs" were 1) Best of White Dwarf Articles and 2) Best of White Dwarf Scenarios and I believe there were 3 volumes of each.

I've bought stuff directly from Mongoose in the past. They are reliable and fast enough for me.

Re: Traveller in UK Shops

Anyone have an idea when Traveller 2E might be hitting the shelves in the UK Shops? Which shops? I use Travelling Man in Newcastle, they get a delivery from http://www.esdeviumgames.com/ at the beginning of the week. No luck just yet. Using the spare time to read the Gamemastering book downloadable...

Re: Art: feedback/critique requested.

I've often wondered what Space Stations or Star Docks look like in Traveller.

Or how a sector fleet might look like to the player's spacecraft if they somehow got mixed up in one.

Re: A few points regarding 2e so far.

I havent realized the prices of the PDF copies are so high, but on that note does Mongoose still do the Bit and Morter system where if you buy a hardcopy you get a pdf for free? Hope so. The Traveller Core Rule Book, 2nd Edition is £30 for the hardback. How much are they asking for the PDF on its o...

Re: A few points regarding 2e so far.

You are utterly glazing over my points. It is not as simple as 'it is stealing'. I have no other way to acutally show my players how to play without asking 4 people who are completely new to the system to pay £30 on a whim of a game. That is not a neglible sum. Additionally, as I have pointed out s...

Re: Core Rule Book Version 2 - very well done Mongoose!

I look forward to the next batch of releases. Is there an ETA for the printed editions of High Guard, Central Supply Catalog, and the three adventures? Is a new edition of Mercenary in the works? There is always this http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/releaseschedule but it tends to be very optimist...

Re: Core book beta discount code...

One small point I wanted to raise - we are (of course!) more than happy for everyone to avail themselves of this offer, but please be aware that, despite the leaps and bounds made in POD technology over the past few years, there is a difference in quality between this edition and the 'proper' print...

Now that the latest Traveller has arrived in Swindon, when will it 1) arrive at UK distributors and 2) when will it arrive at shops?
