The Kzinti did appear in an episode of the Animated Series, which is how they appeared in the Star Fleet Universe. I don't know how that whole licensing thing worked out, quite frankly, but they should be included in Prime Directive Traveller. Also, please be aware that the ADB-Kzintis are different...

Hmm, that's troubling. Getting Traveller rules for SFU ships is more than half the reason I'd buy the game; it's a "no sale" for me without it. Out of curiousity, what is meant by "Traveller rules for SFU ships"? What do you want? A combat system? Why? You have your choice of SFB, FC, Armada, and, ...

Well, we know how B5 did, for both RPGs and miniatures. The question we have asking ourselves is 'Is Trek bigger than B5?' That answer is easy: Trek. In fact, I believe JMS has effective (if not directly) stated that before. Trek is way, way, way bigger than B5. (This is not a slam on B5. It is jus...

Will the core Traveller/PD corebook include starship rules or will we need to use CtA or SFB to game with ships? I vote for a set of Traveller starship rules as well, please. That is an extremely tricky bit. There are some options and alternatives, and they need to be explored more before any defin...

It is too soon to tell. It all depends on how much room the "crunchy bits" required to make it "Mongoose Traveller" take up.

In simple laymans' terms, the ADB license from Paramount allows them to use whatever Star Trek "items" that are already in the game. ADB may not include any new items, whether they are from TOS/TAS (e.g. the Mirror Universe) or a later series. So, if it isn't already in the "Star Fleet Universe", th...

TNE:1248 Spinward States describes the Deneb sector in the 1248 era. Published by Avenger. Although no longer available due to licensing issues, I believe it will be released by FFE as part of one of their CDs. Deneb also got MT-era and TNE-era stats in the fully GDW "Regency Sourcebook", so there ...

Consider this another vote against CotI. The mods over there are running roughshod over the place (Aramis, Far Trader, and Colin). I've been visiting that forum every day for close to a decade, and I've seen it go from one of the most comfortable forums I've ever been on to a place I loathe. I've l...

Are the old pdf dual statted T20/CT versions no longer available? When QLI screwed MJD, the dual statted versions were pulled. He then replaced them with CT versions published through Avenger. However, once Avenger's license with FFE expired, those were pulled, too. Therefore, the only versions of ...

I'm just trying to figure out what PCs would be stupid enough to actually take passengers along with their "goat". Seriously, any PCs I knew would automatically assume any other passengers would be threats to the success of the job and refuse to take any. (Which isn't a problem, as they would then j...

Or, you can get the CT Reprints: The Apocrypha I CDROM from Far Future Enterprises. That volume contains all of the Adventure Class Ships products made by FASA way back in the day. I know they have at least one small base included in there ...

But it won't be a real thread about the Aslan preview if there isn't a raging flamewar going on in it...! ;) Yes. But the flame war(s) should be related to the Aslan. You know, like, "The ihatei can't really be that numerous," or, "How do you have a barely habitable world filled with 10 billion car...

Depends, but the answer is "quite possibly not". The tides aren't the issue, it's the fact that our moon was formed when something about the size of Mars slammed into Earth not long after it formed (giant impacts were not uncommon back then - the planets we see today are merely the survivors of tha...

Speaking of base-8 comments, the example in the PDF is wrong. The PDF says, "1,2,3,4,5,6,7,10,11,12,13,14,15,20". That is incorrect, as it is missing "16" and "17". The author made the mistake of forgetting that "15" is really "13-base 10", and therefore still need to go to "15-base 10", which is "1...

I'd guess that looks more in the 100 dton size range, than just the 50 dton size range. (Same function as the Modular Cutter, just twice as big.)

I wanna see someone put together either a Suileman or Beowulf. Not a little dinky mini-ship. No, I want to see one that has an interior that your minifigures can "walk" around in. That would be impressive. (BTW, I rank that "exploration" ship at the top in that class of efforts. It is completely bui...

As for the people saying that codes of honour are only significant if they're rooted in biology: well, that's exactly the case for Fteir . Historically, rolling the scout ship benefit more than once had no effect (i.e. the roll was wasted). Always a concern when rolling for those scout benefits ...

The whole point of the scout ship benefit is to keep the strings attached. I doubt they would provide a mechanism to cut those strings.

Actually, that brings up another "bad" inconsistency. The Aslan do not have a racial identity. Their identity is totally wrapped up by their family and clan. That's not right. They don't have a strong racial identity, but they have a very strong shared cultural identity. All Aslan share the values ...
