Re: Zeppelins, Fighters, and Dames

probably wiz kids they got the remains of FASA and Ral Partha But WizKids went under (they have been bought by NECA IIRC) and their Crimson Skies heroclix game (amongst several others) went OOP. You can still find it for a reasonable price over the Internet though. I am talking of a new RPG and boa...

Mmmm... I don't know. I feel a realistic WW2 roleplaying game would run better with percentage-based mechanics like those in MRQ.

In fact I would have loved Mongoose Traveller to use the MRQ (or BRP) rules, so I guess it's all a matter of tastes.

Re: Book 8: Merchant Prince

Long-awaited by Traveller fans...
This is one of the cornerstones of the setting IMHO. And it's only four months away!

Thanks for the update.

Thanks Pasuuli ! Just to clarify though, is there any material in GGG that is not in Stuff ? Would it be advisable to get both books ? To be honest, MGT is not as crunchy as 3G3 is, so I do not see the need to own the latter - unless you are a true gearhead. "Stuff!" should be more than enough to d...

Likely future source of not-Zho 15mm minis

Details here:

Club 300 Ventaurans

Let's see if they do happen sometime. It's less than 100 miniature preorders away!

I am for the K'kree and Hivers - although I am afraid they will show up only when/if MGP publishes atlases of the Trailing Sectors (Gateway Domain and to the SE of that), well after the Sollie Rim (which would be the next logical step after the Spinward Marches and surroundings).

Re: Zeppelins, Fighters, and Dames

What more could you ask for? 8) Sorry for this blatant show of thread necromancy, but I just re-discovered this pulpy classic (I owned the PC game), got some gaming materials (both from the FASA version and the WizKids clickies) and... Who owns the rights of the game nowadays? Wouldn't it be nice t...

Dropship Horizon update

Mark from DH updated his blog with some new comparative shots between the new TopGun Intrepid-proxies and Ground Zero Games' former-best-thing-in-15mm-grav-tanks. http://dropshiphorizon.blogspot.com/2009/10/topgun-gzg-armour-compatability.html From those pics I would say the medium grav tank is the ...

By the way, does anyone know of any good 15mm "bug" minis? I mean Chamax-style "bugs", not humanoid bugs (for that I already use the Spug )... Ground Zero Games has 15mm not-Aliens (similar to the ones in the famous movie saga). Same as Khurassan Miniatures. See linkies above. QRF makes also killer...

I noticed this too. Ive been going through the original Little black books and megatraveller, and some TNE, and some Twilight 2000 stuff and penciling it in the books as I find it. There was a previous thread on the same subject, including a handy solution for those interested: http://www.mongoosepu...

I'm not entirely sure what the difference between "Hard SF" and "Transhumanism" is supposed to be? I guess there is a difference between a full-blown transhumanist future (including AIs and mind uploading) and a "low-SF" approach which is basically an extrapolation of the tecnologies currently in e...

The thing that appeals to me is that in 1105 everythings boxed up with virtually no room for manouver except for maybe Foreven and the regions beyond Hiver space and other polities (sp?). 1248 is a lot more open and pretty much anything could be done with it within reason. I concur - after the init...
