Have you seen Stupor Mundi? It's a game based in 12th/13th century southern europe using the RQM rules engine. If you are going to produce historical supplements, it might be worth trying for some kind of consistency between settings. Since they will all be based on the RQM rules, it shouldn't be d...

It shouldn't. It's one OGL system to another OGL system.

I talked with the event guy and he said that none of our demo team is CURRENTLY lined up to run any RuneQuest events, but I am going to talk to Alex and the demo team to see if we might be able to squueze in a session or two if at all possible. Hell, if it comes down to it, perhaps I will run one a...

I love the Origins people, but they do make the occasional scheduling errors. :?

Origins Convention: Runequest sessions?

Using the search function I searched the Origins Roleplaying Games pdf for Runequest and it returned 0 items found. I then did a search for Mongoose and it turned up Paranoia, Babylon 5, and Starship Troopers, but no Runequest. Are there really no Runequest events?

I wonder if Mongoose would accept to take a look at such a game (once it is written and before it is published) and tell me "this is OK, this is not' (on a legal, OGL-ey perspective) so that I can be sure my product wouldn't cause/have any problems... See below. Mongoose Publishing is (finally) rea...

Getting back to my initial question, does this mean that anyone can publish something which would borrow ideas (and even whole rules) from the MRQ SRD and mix them with different rules to produce "something else" (ie something that would not be a "Runequest product") ? If anyone could provide me wi...

The most accurate answer to the question is: Retain an intellectual property lawyer and follow his counsel. However, a quick non-attorney response is that the OGL requires you to include its text in full with the "credit" being handled in the copyright section. If you are marketing it as a RuneQuest...

I got to my local game store when it opened and watched them unwrap and put out the copies of the free stuff this morning. I don't think they had more than 12 copies of anything they were giving away and one product only had 2 or 3 copies of it. I took a copy of the In Dark Alleys demo game. The Run...

You haven't missed it. The event is this coming Saturday (June 23rd). If you check the official site you can look for a gaming store near you.

I'm assuming you can get 1 copy of each item. Each store is supposed to have 100 copies of each item. However, it's the first year so I guess we'll find out this weekend how it all works.

Free RPG Day

I searched the forums and looked on the site, but I couldn't find what products were shipped to retailers for Free RPG Day. The Free RPG Day site just says "Conan or Runequest Product". So, what did you guys end up sending to retailers for this event?
