Digging briefly and only on the Internet: They all had the BL 15"/42 MkI Guns. This is the same gun as on the Revenge (Resolution), Renown and Hood, which ought to standardize everything to 33" in game terms (Though the Resolution class is only 26") I fully acknowledge that the data I am using is q...

AoD: three words

France

Italy

Austria-Hungary

Okay, maybe that's four words. Anyway, the current menu offers roast beef, sauerkraut, borscht, and borek - we need escargots, pesto, and goulash to liven things up a bit.

Oh, and maybe some sashimi.

1/2400 WWI Minesweepers?

Does anybody make a 1/2400-scale WWI minesweeper? So far, all I've been able to find are WWII models from Panzerschiffe. I'll probably end up cutting up a few more of my vast stock of War At Sea Type-13 subchasers but if there are any actual models out there I'd like to get my hands on a few.

I assume you mean ship counters, in which case the answer is 'no'. The PDF files does include turn keys, arc of fire templates, and submerged submarine, smoke screen, and torpedo markers.

Yes, they are all supposed to be three. FWIW I have the manoeuvring trial reports for the WW2 battleship NELSON and the destroyer COSSACk at the office, and the battleship could turn well inside the destroyer's turning circle :) It is both surprising and counterintuitive, but if that's what the data...

FWIW, I have seen a couple of contemporary studies (admittedly pertaining mostly to British ships) that indicate the turning radii of most WWI warships, while not identical, were surprisingly similar. The single exception was armoured cruisers, whose turn rate was much slower (e.g. in general, a pre...

Look about 2/3 of the way down the page. He carries both VaS and OOB in hard copies (in fact, he doesn't sell PDFs).

Presumably part of a horticultural spin-off series prompted by "Houseplants of Gor"? :)
Yes, indeed. It falls between "Organically Grown Arugula of Gor" and "Luvverly Bunch of Coconuts of Gor". :)

Re: Anyone else using "Victory at Sea" for minis?

I just bought a ton of boosters. Has anyone done this? I was hoping there would be a guide as to what to pick up as singles. I assume you mean War At Sea? :) LT Yes, it should be illegal to title more than one thing "...at sea" Sounds like one of those dumb word games that used to be prevalent at s...

At this stage, we didn't. British, German, Russian and Turkish to start with (giving us campaign settings in the North Sea, baltic and Black Sea, as well as 1914 cruiser actions (plus the US 6th BS to keep our colonial cousins happy). I plan to do the Austrian, Italian and French ASAP to cover the ...

In a word "no". The range of stats in VAS was such that all BBs and BCs in AoD would be identical. Plus the gunnery ranges needed some serious adjustment. AoD will be compatible with the Span-Am and RJW versions that I'm (slowly) working on. This doesn't bother me in the least, so long as the Austr...

I have noticed a fair amount of the Union ships are sail driven with no steam engines or paddles propelling them. Is there a particular reason wind direction was left out of the game or was it just assumed everyone would be playing with ships that didn't rely on the wind? I'm not planing on ever do...
