which costs on top of an already expensive hobby. Well that's the keyword here - HOBBY. And I don't think just simply collecting the miniatures alone counts a whole hobby. If 20-odd years of miniatures gaming has taught me anything, it's to be very careful chucking rocks at other peoples definition...

Does anybody else get the feeling that the whole BF Evo world is just holding it's breath, waiting to find out the whole who, what, where, how, why thing? Personally, I was hoping that this mystery company would turn out to be Corgi, and I thought I was on to something after I found out that they ha...

Yup... so, we would agree that access to reliable water supplies WOULD be something that a modern nation would go to war over?

And there is always the "Water Wars" scenario.....

You can live for a week or so without food, but only days without water!

I have TWICE killed Challys with Type99's... It took rolling a 10, but it has happened!

(Of course... the Chally's FRIENDS usually had something to say about it!!)

Ok... we would play that as: If NO model in the attacking unit can draw line of sight to a particular model (Blocked Line Of Sight), then that model is not eligible for allocation of DD. If one or more models in a unit can draw line of sight such that no cover or obscured LOS applies (IE: enfilade f...

Pretty much what we have been doing, with the LMG's having a different colour to the Assault Rifles, for suppression & such. A/T weapons usually roll a D10, so are easy to tell apart, even for my ageing eyes!

I'm a massive fan of the KISS principle... and the 'buckets of bullets' approach. We normally play on the 'swings and roundabouts' idea that if a unit is pouring automatic fire into an area (particularly an urban area) it won't just be aimed direct fire that causes casualties. Nothing quite l...

Did you not notice the ' ' bits? Besides, this IS fictional fluff! I am an historian by inclination. I understand that we really only have anything like accurate temp. records for around the last 100 years. The world heats and cools. Animals and plants evolve and die. Deal with it. Mind you, this is...

Ok, I accept that MGP is unlikely to make either ADF Infantry or Bushamaster IMV's. Shame, really. So I am badgering the guys at Eureka miniatures http://www.eurekamin.com.au to try to release one to go with their Modern ADF. Any supporting emails would be GREATLY appreciated! Let's face it... What ...

FRES is the replacement for the CVR(T) vehicles, isn't it? Or is it to replace Saxon too?

Mind you, i did read on a RAC site that Scimitar/Sabre was expected to be in service until 2015.

From what I am led to believe, many people think the next World War will be over water rights, not oil! Fresh drinking water is starting to get stretched in a lot of places, and 'global warming'/ 'rising sea levels' isn't going to help.....

Yeah! We are awesome..... just ask us! However, there is a reason that during the Vietnam war, our Area of Operations was under control following Long Tan. There is also a reason why we have only had one Iraq War fatality, and that from some sort of barrackroom ND. I also believe, but may be wrong, ...

Ok, this idea definately has legs.... in 6mm But, have you thought about your infantry elements being a fireteam, not a squad? That way, your heavy weapons teams are not drasticly smaller, and there is less fiddling with figure scale to do. Firing infantry weapons at 1d6, or 2d6 with added supressio...

Hmmmmm..... Bloody long way for us to go to invade. And when we did, we would just be snubbed by the locals, who would insist on speaking a language that noone else understands, and having bizarre customs that we cannot hope to fathom, and all the while, you can see that they think that they are act...
