Prefer the supplement have what was present & available than the
what-if's. Signs & Portents alrady has done the German what-ifs so that
venue would be better for publishing that kind of content.

Keep the supplement reality-based with what as present during the appropriate era of hostilites.

Not really interested in "other era" type rules / ships for VaS.

Would prefer Mongoose not get distracted by that and focus on making the
current WW II ships/planes/subs, etc. more comprehensive to represent
the units involved duing <that> era.

Perhaps - but at least we get a chance to use these stats now, haven't heard if / when a supplement will be released by "official" Mongoose reps.

Hunting the "Beast" - missing content ?

Page 36 - Surface Actions, option 2 - Desire for Action? There is mention for setting up formations by either limit of visibility or extreme radar range with a reference to tables for each, but there are no tables for visibility or radar ranges. Will the visibility tables be included in next month's...

Hunting The "Beast" error

On page 35, the entry for die roll of "1" for German land-based aircraft has He111x23

Is the number of He111 supposed to be 2 or 3 ?

WOW ! That sure changes how my players have been doing aircraft! We haven't been stacking every crate that flies on ships..only been allocating three (3) aircraft counters per ship for their attack runs and those that survive AA get to make their attacks. Can't wait to see their faces when everythin...

No Thanks! And let's not get distrac...

One off games often tend to introduce issues based on the willingness to expend your forces above and beyond reality to secure a win. Campaign games are the only REAL form of wargaming :D Agree with that. Too may times see the "go for broke" desperaion strategy rather than quit now & fight another ...

Was this basd on a true historical event? Not exactly a fair scrap based on the priority levels (2 raid and a skirmish vs a skirmish and 3 patrol) but I trust a good time was had by all so not a problem. Hiya Keith, Not a historical re-creation scenario. We did an ad-hoc, pick-up game where we were...
