Re: Questions from a total newbie
Hi all! I've started to seriously consider picking up the LW game (otherwise, I'm mostly into Conan), and have a bunch of questions about the game. 1) Whats the combat system like? I've heard its a slightly trimmed down version of normal d20 (don't really know if thats true or not, but I've heard i...

Re: Helghast/Vordak
I have noticed that the stats for these two creatures seem to be strange. Shouldn't a Helghast have a higher Challenge Rating (5) than a Vordak (8)? Maybe it should, but that's how the game was written. I remember this also came up back when the book was released last year. Anyone else notice this?...

are we sure that Naar resurrected some Darklords? they were 20 Vashna killed 2 (their skulls are on his throne)-> 18 vashna is killed -> 17 (which is the number of Darklords in Darklords' book) then what? Zagarna is killed by LW in book 2 (16DL) Hakkon is killed in book 5 (15DL) in book 12 are kill...

Re: vashna's will
By the way, no image or description of vashna except for what we read in his death scene in the legends? Do i correctly remember him resembling some kind of a huge werewolf/werebear? thanks I think that's his picture in the Magnamund Companion, and he indeed looks like a giant polar werebear with a...

Re: death knight in helgedad palace of war
Or being the death knights grandmaster grants Him in someway a kind of independence and he dosn't belong to anyone of the 20/17? Thanks By the way, there are 19 Darklords alive as of MS 5000, they go down to 18 in MS 5050 once Lone Wolf zaps Zagarna. Good question otherwise. I think it's really up ...

Raethryn, first thank you much for your kind words. Second, the two Darklords killed by Vasha is a note taken directly from the source material I had to work with and othe rnotes found along the way to researching the book. It was my assumption (and nothing was ever revealed to prove or disprove it...

Here's what August had to say on the subject: This question is covered in another thread, but for completeness' sake, I will explain here: Essentially, there is a disparity of sorts between the notes and sources the RPG is based on and the numbers involved. This is really not a problem, as it is one...

Re: Classes
Non-human races are not very present in Lone Wolf due to the destruction of most of them by the great Plague released by the Cener. Only the Drodarin Dwarves, Giants, the Kundi, and the Ogrons remain as a real example of the wide range of non-human races created by Kai. You have a couple of other e...

Re: Wow
Thanks for posting that poll again. I hadn't seen it in a while. According to that poll, LW is kicking butt. Isn't LW the "new kid on the block?" So, my question is, if the poll is accurate, why is the demand not being met by Mongoose? Let me just post Matt Sprange's answer to your question: "Poste...

That's the real cover, but I suppose the ad in S&P 22 was prepared before they had the final version of the cover, as Mat said.Ghost Bear wrote:What's the image on the Dawn of Destruction preview page then?

Re: Dawn of Destruction cover?
It's funny that in Signs and Portents issue 22, the May issue, they advertise the release of Dawn of Destruction and they're still showing the cover for Magic of Magnamund!Anonymous wrote:Is it anywhere in the web? I have seen it in amazon and so, but it´s from Magic of Magnamund.

Dawn of Destruction release date?
Will DoD be released near the beginning of the month, like Magic of Magnamund, or closer to the end of the month, like Darklands of the RPG book?
Thanks for the answer.
Thanks for the answer.

Trouble in Tanoren in S&P#22 has a puzzle for this very reason :) It's been kept to a non-pivotal position, where it can be extremely helpful but not vital to the storyline. I considered using numbers for it, but in the end decided not to - numbers were pretty much the only way to go in the book, b...
