Help for Noob

Ok. If I can buy a copy of

Babylon 5 - A Call to Arms - Main Rulebook

Babylon 5 - A Call to Arms - Fleet Lists

Do I have enough to play with, or do I need to buy minis or counters?

I am a terrible painter and so counters are fine for me.

Re: So in Glorantha, you are a What?

So, hands down we know out of all the Glorantha material, the Ducks are the coolest of the RQ races. Still, out of idle curiosity, in a fantasy game setting which Races do you like to play, or seen played? Do you prefer single race games, or classic mix it up's? Interesting State of the Mongoose. Pleased to see that Mong now stands as publisher with a core of its own systems and third parties gather around you. No longer a d20 hanger on, Mongoose is a major design force. Excellent news re RQ, I never quite liked MRQ1 enough, but I know and trust Loz will ma...

New judge Dredd Questions

Is the new Judge Dredd a self contained book with all rules or will a copy of Traveller also be required?

It's time that the Zho and the Vilani were given a deep elaboration to make them as well defined as the Solomani. Not that lots of stuff doesn't exist on the Vilani, they are (after all) the core culture of the Imperiums, but they seem to me to need presenting as well as the Solomani.. and the Zho s...

I also am keen to understand which of the Mongoose B5 OGL books (either edition) deliver a core structure for the B5 setting and the timelines. I am NOT interested in lots of rules or stats, just core useable material by any system. Any chance of a thumbnail guide from some of you B5 rpg old hands? ...

A Mongoose Setting Competition

Hold a competition for a setting, preferably using the core Mongoose systems (RQ/Trav/OGL), which would consist of a set write up in a defined format, whilst not actually the final product. Essentially a 10-20 page "pitch". The top 3 could be chosen either by Mongoose or a public poll, and the rules...

You know I think you are right. I guess the one thing in the 2300AD cannon that I don't like is Texas as an independent country. So if I were going to change any one thing, that would be it. But surely Texas never legally joined the USA, a claim made strongly by the Republic of Texas: http://www.ch...

Agreed, I do like both HUGE lovely books and also dinky pocket books.

Lulu supports this well with small forms and large ones, but I do realise that a mainline publisher like Mongoose would need volume to justify double sizes, but on a line like Trave or RQ that must be achievable.
