Well that's a given (at least for me it is) but if it weren't a given, what would you lean towards?

~Rex
I would go for a sorcerer from Kush, a shemit wine merchant or a knight from Pointan I guess.

I would say "fairly compatible", as it's based on the OGL and not to far from it (we're not talking about M&M here).

let me have a second reading of the weapon feats before having a more definite answer.

but you should buy it anyway. it's a great game and it's even printed by MGP !

The combat rules of D20 are complex enough, so I see no gain in the Warrior's Companion , but I guess I will take a look at it in a shop. I found some useful options there. For example the "Spearman "feat and the "Hoplite" formation soldier options are ways to make spear-users decent fighters. Now ...

US and Canadian orders should already be on their way, and I am hoping we get the shipment in the UK today - if so, the books will start shipping out to the rest of the world today as well!
Excellent news !

I must admit I also loved lurking in small shops. Every trip to the UK or the US, I tried to get the list of the nearby RPG shops and drop by, buying stuff. It's during those trips that I bought my best scenario or that I discovered the 2nd edition of Bloodbowl. It's really sad to see Hervé closing,...

Despite not being a huge d20 fan I must admit I'm eager to get the dead tree version of Fantasy Craft (sorry, I can't read rulebooks on a computer screen) and even more thrilled at the possibility of a Craft Conan, having read a lot of good reviews on this "new" d20 system (I know it's coming from S...

Any playing feedback S4 ?

In my case, I know that I won't be able to decide my wife to kill babies in our Conan game.

From my reading of alpha, Pathfinder was even worse than 3.5 in the feat fest and complex rules.
I really hope Conan is not going this way.

And the fact that it could be a collector something of multiple books is just stopping me from buying any Conan books until I have more info.

It would take longer than November to rewrite RQ and have a Conan version of it. Thats a huge undertaking. ... that was nearly completed a long time ago (ie years). But as we are nearly sure there will be no system switch, I'm out of idea about why every Conan products were stopped. May be some mon...

Supplement Four wrote:It's got to be something to do with the rules. That's the only reason that makes sense to hold up printings of other books.
And then, if there so many differences that they had to put on hold new books, it doesn't bode well for the compatibility of older products.
