An example of this difference: in most states, discharged violent felons may never own firearms again. Some states do not permit any discharged felons to own a weapon, even when unconditionally discharged. Alaska permits discharged felons to possess a single longarm (Rifle or Shotgun) for hunting pu...

TNE requires that you be able to get a relatively good fix, and must make a formidable astrogation, to reverse engineer the plot.

Only way venus even comes close to useful is a few hundred years after seeding it with carbon-fixing acidophillic thermophillic microbes that can take the pressure... and lower the molecular weight of the atmospheric components, so that you can lower the surface pressure.

Besides, unless you have mixed oxygen in with the H2 you are not going to get a boom, just a fire around the breach hole. And a fire that will go out soon anyway, as there is not enough volume of O2 in all the coridors to oxidize a full tank of fuel anyway. A Fusion Gun hit would, theoretically, ca...

I almost always start in Aramis, Regina, or Lanth... and usually on Wypoc/Lanth, Regina/Regina, or Aramis/Aramis. The latter only when running TTA.

I've often transplanted the Shadows adventure to Wypoc.

A slow Lhyd leak into an O2 containing atmo will be a likely fire.
A fast one will simply kill all it encounters by freezing them solid.

The Stuff is THAT dangerous.

Last one I worked with was 15 years ago, and it and three others of the time had a calculation issue of sequencing: they would get object x, calculate the effects of the other objects on x, then move x, then go to the next object. AFAIK the one I use does not have such an error (and the results it ...

I think I asked this already, but will the Environmental TL Limit table (at the end of worldgen) ever be added to the worldgen rules in the SRD? It doesn't need to be in the SRD if all you're going to do is present the result of worldgen, you would only need it if you wanted to reprint the formula ...

Wrap the text in

tags, and use no tabs, and it should work fine.

Re: Suggest a sub-system for determining asteroid belts

Otherwise, there were rules in CT to cover the generation of gas giants and asteroid belts in the system. CT Book 6 has a table for planetoids. Gas Giants in CT core are simple Yes/No on presence of 1+, not giving numbers. Bk 6 expands this. MT and later have a roll for number present. Realisticall...

Historically, colonies acted like colonies specifically because of the lack of direct communication. When you eliminate the comm lag, you also eliminate the independence. Since the 1930's, comm lag has been less than travel time. In system, it will stay that way for the entirety of the foreseeable f...
