Re: Dredd movie trailer

Sitting down right now to catch the flick on the Ultra Screen in Wisconsin. Actually, been running one of the Con events we used to do for Mongoose in the lobby for the last few hours so all psyched for a bit of Lawgiver action....

It's been my experience from the last several Con's, that it's reasons for not being a huge seller, isn't because of the product, it's just that here on this side of the pond, folks are not very familiar with the comic itself. Most folks Know Dredd, a few less know Strontium Dog, but Slaine is very ...

Bah, having been on the receiving end of these I can say... Wow, first hand experience! Do you mind if I ask the specifics of said event? How did you find yourself on the receiving end of one of these? One of those "Get off My Lawn!" situations. The Flour round others brought up is better for knock...

I'm for All of it combined but then I'm greedy. IF I had to pick just one, I'm leaning towards an RQII setting styles, with a bunch of Download Bait attached, up to and including PDF's of all the cool Slaine Art, that you could say, Pick and choose a few pages from a big catalog of pictures. ~Rex......

Bah, having been on the receiving end of these I can say, Not a chemical weapon. I'd write up the damage, as temp stuff, or something like a Stunner. Even bundled up, it HURTS a lot, and can KO you if your a Wuss, otherwise you can gimp away to nurse the nastiest rash you've ever had in your life on...

Give me a Deluxe Pocket Edition. What can I say I'm still fond of the LBB format. IF on the other hand, I were to cobble together a collectors edition of the Rules, I'd do the cover, in Stainless Steel, and the pages in Tyvek.

That or trying to make sure that the Zhodani art comes off as more then Psionic Ali Babba and the 40 Guys in TL 14 Combat armor. Not to mention the vowel dump.

Besides. I needed my Aslan book first so I can write up my Thundercats Demo for Origins and Gencon.

Heh, that's a thought. To me though, the greater 2000AD universe, is ripe for the pickings, from Dredd forward at least, all the way to Durham Red. So, since I already know, that RT encompasses a lot more then just the one comic line (though that is the story most are familiar with), I'd be gung-ho,...

I for one would Pimp Rogue Trooper left and right. However, that being said, I can already DO rogue Trooper, with the existing Traveller, Dredd, and Strontium Dog books. STILL, that being said, I would be the first person in line to purchase the Rogue Trooper RPG. :D

Heh, why not. It scales out easily enough (Checks his note book), with a few tweaks at the upper end to keep it from bogging down due to having to throw buckets of dice around..... I'm sure one of the really smart writer types at Mongoose could whip something up easily enough, just from what I've sc...

That is good to hear Rex and at this point like I said before I probably won't jump on board right away until I see some more Slaine support after a RQII version comes out. HOWEVER that being said if the book is a HUGE gorgeous hardcover in full freaking colour and oozes Slaine then I will most lik...

After the holidays when I have time I was going to post it in the Traveller section, and here really because it beefs up the 'Not a Judge" options for 2000ad play. Working the balance kinks out of it right now and since my players are all mostly married with children this time of year puts a bit of ...

This last Gencon, we were able to get two full tables of Slaine Rookies hooked, and they all went down to the booth and snagged everything RQ and Slaine they could get their meathooks into. I was having my Dredd Games, return for Pick Ups, with not only Dredd and Traveller in their new book pile, bu...

I'll either allow a re-roll, if the player hasn't annoyed me, OR, do what you did and simply take the same roll on another column. Primarily the later because I have noticed that certain........Gung-Ho players will REALLY gravitate towards the special abilities, just to see if they can get them all....

Yeah I'll have to second every ones comments. Mongoose has always gone Above and Beyond when it comes to Customer Service, often out of their own pocket.

You won't find any other game company that does that.

I'd kill for a Rogue Trooper RPG myself. If anything just to have actual books instead of having to keep using my own notes because as I get older my own handwriting is getting harder to read, much less write.

Plus, that's just one step removed from Durham Red then. :D

*Eyes a Notebook sitting on the desk* ...... As someone, that has (Owned and played), EVERY SuperHero RPG, ever made, it can be and has been done. Scale is very important and it can get away from you within the framework of the Traveller Core Rules but with a few tweaks, and some understanding of Ga...

It's always worth it. If anything, to fish in the new folk out there that might otherwise stray into yon horror of 4th ed DnD or some such.
