Re: Deneb Sector and Solomani Rim Now Available

If they want to sell directly to me, I do not care, but they had better drop their price to me since they are removing two middlemen. If they don't that will also make me stop buying. So I am definitely interested in seeing what is going to be said in the "State of the Mongoose". I am going to take...

Re: Deneb Sector and Solomani Rim Now Available

Marking pages can also be done with EBooks. lt is a software problem as can be seen with Kindle Software. And PostIt works with PDF even in Android software allowing annotations, color markings etc that can be removed as well. And I do not need „page flipping" since I can split PDF in parts [That i...

Re: Deneb Sector and Solomani Rim Now Available

I cannot stand flipping back and forth for rules in a PDF. I'm getting to where I am OK reading novels digitally, but not rule books.

Re: Deneb Sector and Solomani Rim Now Available

I am still old fashioned. If I do not have a physical book, I don't buy the PDF and play the RPG. The only reason I have PDF's with no physical books is because I got them free, or as a reward for donating to Earthquake relief, etc... via drivethru RPG. So if Mongoose wants me to keep buying their p...

Re: Deneb Sector and Solomani Rim Now Available

If I had a GOOD LGS I'd support it too, but I don't even have an LGS, so I do all my buying on line, so I go for the best price I can find when I am ready to buy, which is usually Amazon, but not always.

...your blog post said the warp drive used twice the fuel of standard jump drives (so, 20% of dtonnage per parsec)... If the theories in this real article on Warp Drives proves to be true, power consumption for Warp Drives is going to be much smaller than previously believed. Much, much, much small...

Re: Official / Unofficial Chthonian Stars for Mongoose Trave

I played this at Neon Con 2 years running (Unfortunately Neon Con is no more  ) and my son and I really enjoyed it. So I think your right, this is a great addition to the Traveller library, and I am saddened that they parted ways with Mongoose. At least the guy running it was one of, if not THE...

Re: Warp Drives within our life time...

Just read an article claiming progress on making Warp Drives a reality is progressing. I have to admit, if they make working Warp Drives a reality before I die, it will help me die a happy man. The problem is the power needed to power one. Which would now be much, much, much smaller... http://news....

Re: Long-Running Online Mongoose Traveller Game Seeks New Pl

If you're on the Pacific Coast, then that would be correct. We have one player in North Cal and another in Vancouver so you would be in good company for those unfortunate ones who have an early start! I am in Arizona, we never change our time, so during the Summer I am on Pacific time. When the res...

Re: Deneb Sector and Solomani Rim Now Available

Well, I haven't ran into anything where I needed to do a lot of rewriting. If I did that would bug me too. Everything I have come across has been small, taking a few moments of thought. Or spelling errors still close enough to what it was supposed to be to easily correct as I read. Plus people on ot...

Re: Deneb Sector and Solomani Rim Now Available

I must be oblivious, or just so used to Traveller being riddled with editing mistakes (Yes, including Classic) that I am just conditioned to fix it and move on. I say that because I made heavy use of Robots and CSC in my just recently concluded campaign, and I do not recall finding any mistakes that...

Re: Deneb Sector and Solomani Rim Now Available

Someone on RPG.net is claiming that the errors in the Solomani book are horrible. Can anyone back that up, or is this just another case of 10 to 15 errors throughout the whole book being blown way out of proportion?

Re: What's YOUR Core Rulebook Reboot?

I am just fine with all the aforementioned suggestions, except I would like to go full color. Again, depending on price. Price may make me be happy with some color plates rather than a full treatment.

Re: Question on speculative trade goods.

I am assuming your referencing the normal process of they buy goods on one planet at the best price they can negotiate, and then sell it on another planet where they hope to get big profits. IF that is indeed the scenario, they own their cargo and can do whatever they wish with it. They just better ...

Re: Chthonian Stars POD?

I suppose if I bought RPG books to just mine for ideas I'd feel the same way, but I am happy to say I have played all but maybe 6 RPG's that I own. I hope to play even those some day, sooner rather than later. I have yet to play Twilight 2013, Wild Talents 2E, Cthulhu 6th Edition, Twilight Imperium,...

Me too, but not due to being old fashioned. I just find it much easier to flip back and forth looking for rules in a print book than scrolling back and forth on some digital reader. Drives me nuts on a reader.

Chthonian Stars is finally in print, for you Traveller fans! We will be bringing POD copies of the book, full color hardcover and all awesome, to Gen Con. Not that many, mind you, so if you're interested, find us fast! Shortly after that debut, anyone can order from DriveThru RPG. Awesome! I'll ord...
