Re: The Lone Wolf Mega-Deals are Back!

Well, given that 5 years ago we were told that we'd get books 29-32 as soon as they were published...and there is not even talk of a 29 yet, yes, it is bad. Lone Wolf was Joe's largest endeavor of the time, and now it is not. It's secondary, so if plans to write 4 books 5 years ago have yet to even ...

Re: Lone Wolf 17 - At Print

If you never get your hopes up, you can never be disappointed. The whole reason hard release dates were removed was because "soon" ended up being 6 months long. If it comes by Easter, I'll be surprised.

Re: The Lone Wolf Mega-Deals are Back!
You're not being 'denied swag', you're receiving what you signed up for at the time. Mongoose are free to offer similar/different deals whenever they want. Also, the original deal in 2005 included all 6 books in the two novel trilogies Dragons of Lencia/Rise of the Agarashi, w...

Re: The Lone Wolf Mega-Deals are Back!

Yeah, I just did the math and research. We paid approximately $30 dollars less. So, if we original mega-dealers pay $30 extra, that should be fair to get the RPG materials, eh?

Good luck finding them. Supply and demand becomes disproportionately skewed for collectors. Eventually, you will have to fork over the cash to have your book(s). Let me tell you, once you have all 28 Red Fox books in a row on a bookshelf, all in NM to M condition, it is such a feeling of pride and a...

The Book of Magnakai? Is it the same one that was written for TotS way before LW become a RPG or is it a brand new thing? I would doubt it. That was an attempt at a d20 expansion, which has been abandoned in favor of the simplified truer-to-form rules of Lone Wolf. It would be great to see content ...

Yes, the value will be relative to the person (or persons) seeking it. A few years ago, I could have told you a good price range for the book, because I was on eBay all the time, collecting. As a general rule, the selling price of a book is vaguely proportional to the number of potential buyers who ...

BC, that cover link goes nowhere. There's a redirect to a blank page. LW, the pages in the CE books are folded and glued. The headband appears to be random. I have blue-and-white, white, black, and tan. Print errors aside, the binding is really quite good, and all of my covers have been dent free, a...
Opinions from other Forumites?
Always ready with an opinion. :) Set the release date for book 14 as August 2010. Be pessimistic. Then if it happens to be ready earlier than expected, yay! If it's ready in August, yay! Surprising everyone with an "ahead of schedule" book has a much bet...

Well, to be fair, the printers have been doing a wonderful job so far. It's the doubled-edged sword: very good quality, yet sometimes at the mercy of production timelines outside MP's control.

Adding my own oversight in mini-adventure links in book 6. I apologize for not triple-checking the story links. The first option on section 156 should read as follows: "If you still choose to take him to meet Simyn in light of this new information, turn to 108 ." Also, I don't know why the program I...

I certainly don't have time to do this, but in reading this thread, I can't help but wonder if we need a Mongoose-edited sticky FAQ to let new fans/converts know information about the books, the republication, timelines, etc. That way, answers to all the "what" questions from potential customers and...
