The engine is entirely new (it's also used for a game called HomePlanet, but it was developed for IFH), but certain aspects are no doubt inspired by other space sims. Simply playing them gives you an idea for what works and what doesn't, so it's rather difficult (and probably a bad idea) to not be d...

(OT) Babylon 5: I've Found Her prequel campaign released
Apologies in advance if this is too far off-topic, but I thought people here might be interested: For those not in the know, I've Found Her is a non-canon, fan-made computer game; it's a space combat sim based on the show. It has been in development for two or three years, and now, a prequel campaig...

Agent1:
We love you.
No, really. From Fiery Trial and the preview of the EA sourcebook, it looks to me like you've gone above and beyond the call of duty. Excellent, excellent work.
Keep on writing; we'll keep on reading. (That of course goes to everyone at Mongoose.)

One brief quibble: "In addition to this, the consciousness of a Shadow ship exists in both real space and hyperspace simultaneously." Problem: If this is so, then why do they have the scout as seen in Shadow Dancing? In my game, I had only one race with the ability to see beyond their spacial limit...

Well, given that I was the GM.... Actually, I still haven't had the opportunity to play/run a game using Mongoose's system; my game was/is in GURPS. But it'll come eventually, maybe once a few more of the Really Important Supplements™ come out. I'm particularly looking forward to Bruce Graw's EA Sou...
