Sorry to have missed it; as far as I know the contact form is still working. Anyway, you have my attention now! :-)

Re: [Xoth.Net Publishing] Land of the Silver Lotus, new sword and sorcery adventure module

Where would you place the adventure during the Hyborian Age? In the Black Kingdoms, I assume? Any particular kingdom? But...maybe parts of Stygia? Since this adventure takes place on an island, it is very easy to set it basically "anywhere" in a given campaign world. For the Hyborian Age, I think I...

Re: [Xoth.Net Publishing] Land of the Silver Lotus, new sword and sorcery adventure module

A good thing you are there. I tried to contact you through your web site but I didn't receive any answer. When was this, and how? Did you use the contact form on the website? I answer all messages I get, not sure why I haven't seen yours. If I want to purchase your books through Lulu, how can I mak...

[Xoth.Net Publishing] Land of the Silver Lotus, new sword and sorcery adventure module

Hi, "Land of the Silver Lotus" is a stand-alone sword and sorcery adventure module for character levels 4-6, written for the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game and usable with any fantasy roleplaying game (such as the Conan d20 RPG by Mongoose Publishing!). Narcotic plants, hostile pygmies, giant slugs, an...

Re: Conan RPG Broken? Really? I'm not convinced.

Thulsa, you keep referring to S4's definition. But, really, I've just repeated what is listed on pages 11-12 of the 2E Core Rulebook where level definitions are given. I was calling it "S4's definition" because you were paraphrasing from the book, not quoting it directly. For example, the book says...

Re: Conan RPG Broken? Really? I'm not convinced.

Given this, I can see where Thulsa is coming from because he didn't have this info to rely upon during his games (except the two examples in the 1ed and AE edition Beastiaries). Actually, I own every single Conan RPG book published by Mongoose. And my name is listed in the "Special Thanks" section ...

Thanks, and looking forward to hear your thoughts when you have read and/or played it.

Yeah, but I've gotta leave something for future modules, too... :-)

Re: Conan RPG Broken? Really? I'm not convinced.

But that is old news. The line is dead, the community is cast to the winds, the Conan license is in the air by people who's claim of ownership is as tangible as the tooth-fairy, and nothing can change the past--no matter how hard you modify an old DeLorean. True. I haven't even played the Conan RPG...

Re: Conan RPG Broken? Really? I'm not convinced.

As the OP said, the majority of peeps in the world should be 1st level - and a higher-level adventurer really _should_ be able to handle them fairly easily. Let's take a look at some of the NPCs created by Vincent Darlage , co-author of the Conan RPG, shall we? I'm going to pick a file at random, l...

I see you have created a separate thread for this, which is a good idea.

Let's keep this thread on the topic of XP3: The Citadel beyond the North Wind.

Re: [CONAN] The Citadel Beyond the North Wind by Thulsa

I only have experience with the Barbarian class (as I've had little use for any other class in my game to this point). ... I've run one campaign so far, taking the PCs from 1st to 3rd level. Honestly, don't you think this is a rather limited basis from which to make general statements about the ent...

Re: [CONAN] The Citadel Beyond the North Wind by Thulsa

You know, all the time I was saying Hyrkania but thinking Hyperborea. So, we're thinking along the same lines. All right, let's go with Hyperborea then. :-) But, also, I think Thulsa went to Pathfinder before making the above business decision with his own, personal game. My take, from looking thro...

Re: [CONAN] The Citadel Beyond the North Wind by Thulsa

I am not sure why you "left" the Conan d20 system. It seems a little (maybe a lot) more geared to the grim fantasy/ low magic campaign you seem intent on running. I've answered the same question before in this discussion . To summarize: The intentions of the Conan d20 rules were good, but the imple...

Re: [CONAN] The Citadel Beyond the North Wind by Thulsa

If you have any "Conan-ization" comments, just off the top of your head, that you'd like to express in this thread, I'd like to hear them. For example, do you think Hyrkania is a good transplant for XP 3, or is there another piece of the Known World where you think it would be more fitting? Maybe i...

Great Stuff. Thulsa I still love looking at your hyborian webpage. YOU and Vincent were the mob bosses of this community (in a good way). Keep in touch with us few that still frequent here. I'm still here, but mostly just lurking (for the reasons given in my previous post). And you can be sure that...

Re: [CONAN] The Citadel Beyond the North Wind by Thulsa

Hi, Supplement Four It looks to me as if Thulsa has moved on from Conan, focussing now not on the Hyborian Age but on his own Sword & Sorcery game setting called Xoth, using Pathfinder rules. Well, I remain a great fan of Howard and the Hyborian Age, and my website will continue to host material rel...

Looks freakin awesome. Seriously. Bobby would have loved it. Maybe, it's really hard to tell. There are some interesting insights on this page: http://www.rehupa.com/movies.htm For example, this: That's the kind of stuff I like -- rough, raw and brutal. Tiger-stuff. All this singing and dancing and...
