(it's obvious that the art and layout has been done in colour, then converted to gray-scale). They aren't! They are all done as b/w! Ok, my apologies then. I'm confused though, it surely looks like the art is in colour and then converted to grayscale. The backgrounds also look like the parchment co...

It's not the main thing, but it really does bug me. I was prepared to (and did) pay for mongoose's hard cover books since they had high production values. Nice glossy colour pages, and all that. When the printers went B&W my personal sense of value scale tipped the wrong way. I handled some of the b...

Are even the PDFs black&white now?!? :(
I just looked at preview .pdf's of Dara Happa Stirs and the Dragonewt book.
I've been happily buying the mongoose books in pdf format, as I don't want to buy the ugly black and white paper versions. The new previews look like they are in black and white too!
Somebody enlighten me please.

The reimagining of the Cthulhu mythos in the book is brilliant. The writing is good, and the books is gorgeous. There are a few pages where the red text looks out-of-focus, but it's rare enough that it doesn't really bother me. My only real beef it the redicuous "hybrid damage" rule. If a rocket lau...

I had decided to let Cthulhutech pass me by. I noticed a copy at my local store (Turku, Finland) and leafed though it a bit. The glossy full cover hardback book was so gorgeous and professional looking, that I forked over the 50 euro's then and there, and feel I have gotten good value for my money. ...

Any idea when this will change?

<snip> Bad news was, that all the books were the same quality as the book I bought:( Well, bad luck. Got me money back and wait till the decent print arrives to Finland. I see. I won't hurry to buy this one then (also in Finland). I've been thinking about waiting for the .pdf anyway. I have bought ...

I like competent characters. I've done the farmboys from village X beginning too many times to really find it interesting. In our games we usually have a character creating system that ties skill levels to the character's age. Basically we create a character (consept and story), and then put numbers...

My favourite such spell is Face Chaos, or whatever it's called now. Cast it on your companion when you are running from a gang of broos or a chaos demon, it can't be resisted and makes them stop and fight, or stop and die. That should buy enough time to regroup and counterattack or just escape. Whe...

a) Processed meat (including humans) b) Processed vegetables (including elves) c) Daily stew (whatever was in the traps & leftovers) And, of course, the best food to actually eat is (a) that comes from processed Mostali. So dwarves prefer to eat other dwarves, as long as it comes in tins. That was ...

Mostal only knows what Dwarfs eat, and I think even they don't like it. Dwarfs eat processed food that comes in tins. Nobody except the Quicksilver alchemists knows what goes into the tins. However, dwarfs who develop a fault in their operation, or reach the end of their operating lifespan, are usu...

<snip> Perhaps men have downtrodden lives which they can only escape through roleplaying. Since women have better, uplifting lives, they don't need to roleplay to escape. They just need Mills & Boon and chocolate. :D *sigh* It wasn't funny the first time. Furthermore it's starting to sound obsessiv...
