Re: Swashbuckling Adventurers - Are they Viable?

In my mind this depends on the setting. If opponents are also without shields and heavy armor then this should work just fine. If the setting is a mixed bag of rapier wielding rogues and plate mail clad heavy men-at-arms then the swashbuckler is quite not so easy to leave a fight alive. What could w...

Re: Snow White and the Huntsman Legend Style!

Funnily enough I have also thought about it along the same lines. Obviously I have not taken the plot so far or rather thought of it so deeply but reversed roles were the idea.

I have read the "Last Wish" and maybe it was brewing somewhere in the subconscious...

Re: Dredd movie trailer

Nah, Death is not a necessity. Dredd keeping his helmet on is far more important. In fact I have pretty high hopes for this flick after the disappointment of Stallone's version...

Re: The Worlds of Edgar Rice Burroughs

Actually I have spent a little bit time thinking about this. If the system uses XP, then you don't get as much XP when using underhanded tactics as you would get using fair combat tactics.

In the books Geralt often has someone with him and certainly does so in the PC games. You could not be a party of Witchers but could be friends or even other "creatures" that have escaped the church, such as an elf, or a mage. It certainly would be better with smaller, slightly tougher groups then ...

Getting back to the original question. I think there is one inheritent problem with this setting, namely witchers. Even if you set the game earlier era when there were many more witchers than at the time of Geralt they mostly operate alone and are pretty powerful. So, what the PCs would be? If not w...

I would be really excited to get the Witcher RPG (setting) like I already mentioned :) However there is already a Polish Witcher RPG out there, so I don't know if there is a possibility or even a market for that setting. Granted, video games might promote the setting somewhat but while I like the st...

The damage, of course, depends on the caliber of the rifle. Most of the rifles use same calibers as other rifles, like 7.62x51 mm NATO. There are other rifle caliber, too. So, they shouldn't cause more damage than other rifles with the same caliber. On the other hand there are so-called antimateriel...

In that case 3 ACs should be fine for reloading. This should create situations where reloading really is a bum and it becomes part of your tactics that you have to take into account in your plans... In reality telescopic sights are adjusted based on the body proportions of the shooter, range, weathe...

About reloading: In reality changing mags takes quite a bit of time, at least in my experience. That's why in fixed position mags are sometimes placed to ground so they are quicker to pick up than from an ammo pouch. Maybe 3 ACs is enough at least as a starting point. Sniper rifle in close combat: ...

Full auto or bursts should work great at short distances, even then amount of ammo is the limit. Changing the mag should take some time (eject the mag, pick the mag from a pouch, insert the fresh mag and even cock the weapon again). This should make you think about using automatic fire. Single shots...

True, very nice campaign and I really like this refreshingly more mundane approach to adventuring. Despite being down to earth the action is far from being boring.

Good job!

I have no idea if this will help, but here we go... Have you installed a pdf printer (like cutePDF) to your computer? I might be interested if I knew what the bloody thing is. RPG? Board game? Card game? Comic book? Novel? Ice cream flavour? Until Mongoose is willing to surrender some facts I am not giving a toss. Good point, but I can't help but be interested about it. There just is something disturbingly interes...
