Re: VAS 2
That's at least some kind of answer. The question remains, though - why is it all taking so long? Why not get this sorted out long ago? VaS was released, what, a decade ago? Back then you were making models for ACtA yourselves, and then you got in bed with that American outfit for ACtA models just b...

Re: VAS 2
Come on, MAtt. Traveller is an RPG. I'm talking about miniature gaming. There used to be hundreds of posts a day for ACtA, and while you couldn't control losing the B5 licence you could have got VaS and Battlefield Evolution going properly back then. I'm not aware of any major World War 2 naval game...

Re: VAS 2
Maybe it's just me, but the idea of "doing it properly" doesn't gel with concentrating on computer games and leaving the actual gamers hanging. VaS had huge potential, if only you'd "done it properly" years ago when it was first released. This is a far cry from the company that won awards with ACtA....

Re: VAS 2
What's happening with VaS? Basically no models on the site now, no discussion on here, it's like a ghost town. Do you guys not care about miniature games any more?

Re: New Releases for Victory at Sea
Where's HMS Nelson on the main site? It's not listed on the Royal Navy page on the VaS section.

Re: Battlefield Evolution kickstarter
Yeah, you could go that way. Just have generic modern lists for NATO countries, Russia, China and a few others, and nation-specific special rules, unique equipment and so on.

Re: Battlefield Evolution kickstarter
You don't actually need separate figures for NCOs. Neither the corporal or lance-corporal in an infantry section look any different to the other soldiers, they're equipped as riflemen. A bit nit-picky but it does eliminate several models if you don't try to do a special NCO figure. Confine that to t...

Re: Battlefield Evolution kickstarter
To my mind anything WW2 is just another drop in the ocean. WW2 is heavily covered by other games, but I don't know of any mainstream tabletop game that covers modern platoon-level combat. I'm sure there are rulesets out there if you're a niche gamer, but Battlefield Evolution could reach the same le...

Re: Main Armament - videogame
It might be because those ships had their main armament in bow turrets. None of those classes had main turrets in the X or Y positions.

Care? I think there are people here who will care. Will it be changed? That's the more pertinent question.

Re: Getting Started with Judge Dredd
I knew there were some novels, and to be honest I'd be far more interested in that sort of thing than comics. The medium has never really done much for me. Are the novels tied into the other stories or could they be read on their own?

Re: New for Dredd - World Judges, Mini-Bots and Fatties!
Could we have some idea of which Judge is which? I've identified the Cal-Hab, Texas City and Emerald Isle besides the Luxor Judge highlighted, but which are the others?

Getting Started with Judge Dredd
First off, it's not what you think. I've always liked Judge Dredd but never read any of the comics or books except Predator vs Judge Dredd years ago. I'm hoping some of the fans here can direct me to the easiest/cheapest ways to get into the setting and read the stories. That's it actually, all I wa...

They were promoting the DVD with a large sales display right at the door, but yeah, it's a low price for a new release.

Needs more Brit-Cit. Why do one-off models of other cities' judges when the Brit-Cit list isn't complete?

Re: So what did you think of Dredd?
Morrison's (massive supermarket chain for those not in the UK) is selling Dredd on DVD for £4.99. That's a lot less than $30 US. In fact, it's $7.90 at today's rate.
