An atlas by Vincent. I wouldn't care less to wait an year or two for them, I would get them as soon as they were out. It was indeed a dream project, one that would probably become the best sourcebook for a setting ever. And now it's gone. I haven't felt this disappointed ever since Earthdawn 1st Edi...

For me, this wait will only be worthwhile if the announcement is that Vincent is back on the helm making Conan sourcebooks. All the new sourcebooks after Vincent left lack that Hyborian feel that really distinguishes Conan from all other fantasy RPGs, that makes Conan unique. Conan is becoming too b...

Solomon Kane trailer
Since it's related to Conan due to the fact that both characters were penned by Howard, take a look at the Solomon Kane trailer.

Hey MGBM - not so fast - there's this post from matt sprange to one of your posts: Posted: Thu Apr 09, 2009 6:41 am We'll be revealing more around November this year, especially on Vincent's 'secret project'. http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=39265 Secret project - woo hoo! 8...

And that's my point exactly. As you've said, it could have been worse. But it could have been much better too, if only they had kept Vincent on board, for instance. Did Mongoose drop Vincent? I know he hasn't been on any of the books lately but I thought he was finishing a degree or something. Well...

If you call a RPG Conan, you better follow the spirit of its inventor, otherwise call it a generic S&S RPG. It's not a question of flexibility, see Vincent's sourcebooks for instance, lots of flexibility there. It's just... I don't know, that brutal, raw feeling that one gets from reading Howard's ...

I voted excellent. I don't care in the slightest about colour vs B&W: I didn't buy it as a picture book! I like the improvements to the rules, and the adventures are excellent. As for the "Conan Feel": I think you have to be very careful about that. People get different things from Conan, and they ...

3. People write about the "Conan feel" that has changed from 1st to 2nd edition. Maybe and maybe not this is not true. I'm a nerd and I took my 1st and 2nd edition books out side by side and read over them page by page. For the most part, the 2nd edition book is a "copy and paste" version of the 1s...

Time for measuring 2nd edition
Ok, a good deal of time since 2nd edition has been published I believe it's time for a small discussion about what you all think of the quality of all the books published so far, by their own and/or compared to the quality of 1st edition. Give away your opinions on how you feel about all published m...

MGBM wrote: The game is great, even if the theme isn't strong. What do you mean? Isn't Conan a strong enough theme? Yes. This game doesn't have a strong theme. It could be about warring colonies of ants, unfortunately. The more I play the more I come to realize that this game almost has no ...

Ah yes, the eternal euro vs AT debate showing up on a Conan board, of all places. Sorry to be that n00b but what is the "euro vs AT debate" ?. Hehe. To put it short, it's a damn big can of worms in the boardgaming community. Lots of boardgamers categorize the games, with Eurogames and Ameritrash ga...

...which is why in my last Conan session I spent 6 hours watching the PCs digging a well for a village. Best part, they all loved the session. I would actually be interested in hearing how you pulled that off. To me, it sounds utterly boring, but if you all had fun... well, then it must hav...
