So, we have less than a week of October left, and I see that Aliens of Charted Space 1 is still listed as an October release. Does anyone know when it will be out?
October?

Re: 2020 Releases

Just a bump on this. Is there any word on the development of a new Robots book as well? And on a related note, will there be some development on bringing more biotech and A.I. into the 2300A setting when it gets released? These are all things for 2021. For this year, you will be seeing Sword Worlds...

Re: Behind the Claw release?

It's a book, but quite a big one, and collects the data about the Spaniards Marches and Deneb sectors, along with a load of playable races and vehicles. You could base a campaign off it.

Behind the Claw release?

A few people on a Traveller site on Facebook mentioned that they have received shipping notices for Behind the Claw last week. I haven’t got one yet though. Is it on its way now? If so, I aim to start planning a new campaign with it as I see it as a sort of unofficial ‘Book 6’ after the Traveller Co...

Re: State of the Mongoose 2019

Conversely, though it means that whoever buys 2300AD will also have to buy the Traveller core rules too. My issue with this is that you have to refer to separate books for rules, while a lot of the material in the Traveller core rules is superfluous/different to a 2300AD game. We’ll see how it is th...

Re: State of the Mongoose 2019

Wow! Excited to heat that! That would be a huge step for Traveller. I always found artificial life to be underrepresented in Traveller. Probably since this topic wasn't as huge in the late 1970s as it became during the 1980s. There was a Robots sourcebook in Classic Traveller - Book 8 Robots. I thi...

Re: State of the Mongoose 2019

One thing I’ve asked for before, but I still don’t see anywhere being scheduled in the near future, is a Robots/A.I. book for Traveller. For me, I’d like it to be done in the same way we have a High Guard book for starships and the Vehicles book. That is, a book that gives you all the options for bu...

Re: State of the Mongoose 2019

The 2300AD box set will be my own personal highlight of 2020, but I’ve got a load of Traveller stuff coming from the various Kickstarters too. Look forward it it!

Yep. The maps don't pop up at all on the iBooks Preview app. I can however read them fine on Adobe Acrobat. As a whole, the PDF needs to load a bit faster anyway.

Re: Any new updates on 2300AD?

Hey there, I will answer what I can! a) Previews are coming, but it will be easier to get to grips with, flow smoother in play, and look a lot nicer! b) No. c) The Traveller Core Rulebook will be required. d) We are indeed looking at an extended campaign. e) No miniatures planned, not sure what you...

Any new updates on 2300AD?

Been waiting for this for a while, but how long before the new edition gets a green light? Also/ a) What should we expect from the new edition in terms of content? What's new? What's different? b) Will it be Kickstarted? c) I've asked this before, but I'll do it again, will it be stand-alone from Tr...

D&D is played by nubes then.
D&D has pretty pictures, intuitive rules and a bunch of different settings to choose from. It's played by the majority of gamers.

Re: 2300AD speed using stutterwarp

A light year is the distance light travels in a vacuum in a year. The speed of light (rounded up) is 300,000,000 metres per second. Therefore, in a year, light travels 300,000,000 x 60 seconds x 60 minutes x 24 hours x 365.25 days = 9,467,280,000,000,000 metres. Times this by 7.7 and you get: 72,898...

Re: What's Traveller5 like?

What is it that makes T5 unplayable? In the original T5 edition, the book was littered with partial explanations of ideas, littered with errors and it was, in any case, difficult to digest as everything operated through coded acronyms and mathematical formula. It also tended to provide multiple sys...

Education on zero means you know nothing.
Social Standing of Zero means you have no bearing in any social interaction based on status.

Or -3 on rolls at least.
