Re: Battle Report - Campaign Night
When it comes to killing zombies it works Did check the rules ;) (haven't yet checked campaign rules to figure out how easily you lose those zombies and how much money you are likely to get to replace but from sound of this thread that ain't going to be problem) All in all a pretty scary force to b...

Re: Battle Report - Campaign Night
84 model zombie horde...Sounds nasty if the scale of game is something similar to necromunda. Reminds me bit of necromunda campaign I played long time ago. One player had got lucky with territories getting several of the "free juve's on 6" followed by lots of 6's. The guy was getting more juve's tha...

Re: Rogue Trooper Rulebook
I have a few queries over the comparative points of the Rogue Trooper lists with the Dredd lists, particularly looking at the details of adding troops to squads. I think Rogue (50pts) is better than a Judge (50pts) and I think the Cit-Def (25pts) is quite overpriced against anything. The other exam...

Re: Drones vs Klingon front Shields?
Personally I'd ignore that particular ruling as it is rather silly and insane IMHO. Too many ships have phasers tied into multiple banks. In the SFU as a whole this makes absolutely no sense. Are we sure Matt wasn't ruling based only on the basic rules? It's prolly done to reduce the bookkeeping wh...

Re: Star Fleet Rulebook PDF
In the comment section from the state of mongoose post there were two posters that claimed to of gotten the ACTA:SF pdf. Did anyone else see this? If so what are they talking about? It's been available(or at least was) via bits&mortar. I have one. What they need to do is fix all the errors though :...

Re: Comment on the State of the Mongoose
Are these games in print? I know there are historical Traveller wargames. I'm sure it was mooted on the Traveller board that there was a possibility of a Traveller miniatures game. Being OOP or not is less relevant than question of how's the licence of products...Even if they are OOP if licence is ...

Re: The Hobbit weekend december the 16th
Saruman... Are you sure he wasn't in the bad guys camp? Seriously this guy is either monumentally stupid or maybe arrogant that he fails to understand that he's in the presence of two elves one of whom can read minds and the other is hardly going to tolerate being treated as a fool in his own domic...

Re: Change ships or borrow money
Are there any rules for changing into a new ship? Lets say the players have a mortgaged ship that they already operated for a couple of months but want to go with another ship (either smaller or larger). Do they just switch mortgage? Do they have to pay for the new mortgage or for the dissolution o...

Re: The Hobbit weekend december the 16th
Only problem i can see is whether Peter Jackson will release an extended edition version of the Hobbit movies! There's some requests among viewers for shortened editions :D Though I don't see problem with the movies length so much. Didn't feel that long. Okay lots of non-book fighting seque...

OTOH is it too good idea to load up everything on bridge? Cut of bridge then and everything goes. Boom.mr31337 wrote:I can't really understand why gunners need to be next to turrets.

Re: ACTA:B5
looking at your webpage it seems like you moved closer to ACTA in the Nobe Armada universe. You got rid of the crew scores. You added anti-fighter as a point defence trait. You changed some of the terms to the new system, such as twin linked to guided. I would say that the damage scores look a litt...

Re: Worst ship?
The Fed New Fast Cruiser. It is slightly better than the Wolverine in most aspects and worse in others. It is certainly not worth 25 points more. Though it is a great looking ship. Manta? I have found it pretty useful. I just love ph-1 banks and lots of them. Manta offers more ph-1's than wolverine.

Re: Comment on the State of the Mongoose
What would be worth a Kickstarter, would be to make an all digital software version of Traveller - so that you could generate characters, starships, worlds and systems all with a computer or tablet. If they can raise enough money, it could be made really slick and stylishly with graphics for starsh...

Re: Any word on Cloaked Romulans?
I have done it, I painted some of my Romulan KR ship along with cloaked ship marker, here is the effect on the table, hope you guys enjoy. I didn't had the chance to actually play with them yet, they simply posed pretty for the picture. I hope I don't end up "losing" some on the table and forgettin...

Re: The Hobbit weekend december the 16th
Group A Frodo Sam Legolas Gollum Group B Everybody else The only way Group A will survive is by stealth and keeping an extremely low profile. Just like in the original books. Legolas is the only one with the presence of mind, willpower, and natural stealth to be of use. Everyone in the Fellowship j...

Re: The Hobbit weekend december the 16th
<snip> Mordor is hardly lacking in aa department. The most powerful weapon of which is Sauron's will itself. The Eagles likely couldn't stand up to his will when it was focused on them individually. Not that many in Middle Earth could. I'm amazed at how many people completely miss the fact that it ...

Re: The Hobbit weekend december the 16th
One more thing the whole question behind why the Eagles don't simply fly Frodo in. My guess has always been that the Ring is such an unnatural thing of corruption, that they absolutely refuse to be anywhere near it. Once it is destroyed Frodo gets his lift. Bilbo already had the Ring when eagles sa...

I forgot to comment on this when he posted it before. All I would say is that there is still the chance that this fat middle aged guy could *almost* evade your hit, and instead of hitting my arm, you catch me in the flabby part of my belly as I pass. You leave me with an abrasion and a nasty bruise...

Re: The Hobbit weekend december the 16th
Be worried is some asks about contacting the Eagles and the lack of air defences that guard Mordor ;) Already covered plan on revealing that flaming eye can actually fireball anything passing through Mordor airspace which is why they don't automatically send out air patrols to avoid "friendly fire"...
