Computer-Generated Novella Set in Alpha Complex

National Novel Writing Month is a month where people attempt to write a novel (defined as text that has 50,000 words or more). National Novel Generation Month is a month where people attempt to write code that will generate a novel (text that has 50,000 words or more). For this month, I decided to t...

Re: Any plans for a reprint/rerelease?

(anyone remember how glorious the first relaunch was, with a supplement nearly every month?) Yet the supplements were eventually canned most people preferred missions instead. Hence why the second relaunch focused mostly on releasing missions (with all fluff stuffed within the main rulebook). And f...

That is very relevant, thanks Da Boss. I have added the complex to the Alternate Alpha Complexes website.

Re: Alternate Alpha Complexes - A website

Considering how 1st Edition and Internal Security * both agree with Iron Domokun, and that it is a way to easily generate an Alpha Complex, I really should add that "complex" onto the website. It is, after all, just as "legitimate" as the other complexes on that site. However, Iron Domokun, the publ...

Re: Alpha Complex - The Map

1st Edition has a map of CBI sector, which was used in the pre-generated mission creatively titled Destination: CBI Sector . I like the idea of using this map as a template of all Alpha Complex sectors. http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/8334/mapxh.png The map doesn't really add a whole lot of detai...

Alternate Alpha Complexes - A website

Alright then, I hope what I am doing is allowed and tolerated, because I'm still a little hesitant. There has been hints of other Alpha Complexes existing outside of the Alpha Complex the players are in. This serves as a useful mission hook for players, as well as the basis for the mysterious "Spy f...

Re: Flashbacks Redux

They will thus spend most of their time and new “power” trying to not have the adventure run its intended course. And that's alright. Once the players get to a position of power where there are completely responsible for the [CENSORED] project and know they are in a hosejob, I'd be perfectly fine i...

I can't dig up the Anarchist Complex rules, but I found this thread, at least. Silent: Since I don't have time for a "JParanoia Session", and I certaintly can't hope for somebody else to playtest, I'm going to be playtesting the Anarchist Complex setting with a default PARANOIA mission. You have all...

PARANOIA: The CSANTPACAG!

http://www.paranoia-live.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3814

It's a good point-and-click PARANOIA adventure game. The developer, Adam-R-LON-1, may be working on a sequel, though it could fail. Even so, this is a fun game that I hope you guys tried out. I'm suprised it has not been posted here before...

I like to do that all the time. :)

But in fairness, if you want to learn all the subfactions and splinter cells of the society, buy The Traitor's Manual. It has a lot of details about the 16 main socieites, details you may use when crafting your own society.

If I invent a society, it's only for a one-shot deal, to further a campagin or a mission. Once that is done, I throw it away.

More likely, I make subgroups of the main societies in general. Basically groups that are spilnters and believe in ideas that the main society would not accept.

Hm...if one takes a liberal interpertion of the backstory of PARANOIA, Alpha Prime could be the Great Brain...lots of Alpha Complexes were made pre-Oops...but once the world ended, each Alpha Complex accuses all the other Alpha Complexes of treason, hence fracturing the Federation and creating today.

Re: New Fan, Need Advise.

"A fascist's worst enemy is another fascist." I gotta use that quote. It's good. Though, historically, fascists did ally with each other (during WWII), but if they would have won, I think they would likely turn their guns onto each other, like Troubleshooters. Any particular splatbooks that served ...

Personally I don't like puns, due to a devotion to Straight, however, I confess I use them from time to time in Classic to Zap games. I could also use puns in Straight, if the NPCs are purposely punning, and not the GM. For example, there is a hot new vidshow called "CSI: CSI Sector". A pun on CSI, ...
