Re: Noble Armada End of Line Sale
the problem is once a game is not sold then people dont tend to play it and you cannot get people into it. had alot of interest in my club in NA because GW stopped gothic and literraly the week after I run intro games (which was reason for initial orders) then we get the announcement. yes GW will lo...

Re: Noble Armada End of Line Sale
hmm very annoying as I just had my order dispatched today, could have told me in the emails last week. NA never got enough attention mostly due to CTA:SF which didnt just overshadow it but kicked it totally into touch resulting in delays and completely being ignored. shame to see this game go as its...

Re: Noble Armada newbie questions
Upgrade costs are different now to the main book. If you just have the main book you had to pay for fighters in your carriers and you could buy separate ones too. However if you have book 2 (fleets of the fading suns) then it shows you get basic fighters for free and pay an upgrade cost ti take bomb...

Re: Noble Armada newbie questions
1. gatling lasers can be used against every separate attack, so would fire the full 3 dice against each weapon fired in your example. the dice only get split against fighters (so getting swarmed is a possibility). they can be used against fighters, missiles/torpedoes and boarding all in the same tur...

Re: [ACTA:SF] Discussion: taming the Klingons
which is exactly why I argued this point during playtest. as an FC player before CTA I wanted SFU CTA to play in a similar way.
which is why klingons are agile and have long range disrupters, so they can sabre dance

Re: Noble Armada: Vuldrok
well vuldrok dont really have range.
but anyway, there is a downside to going APTE, its in the armour rules iirc. but if you use this ability there i a chance your armour will crack and you lose a point for the rest of the game

iirc tony was in the 1st playtest too. but this time he has someone who will listen more and make it more like SFU as it should have been. so hopefully a better game

well hopefully seeker weapons will remove the direct fire thing. that was always a bug bear of mine during initial testing but was outvoted by the less things to track brigade

Re: News on A Call to Arms: Star Fleet!
apart from the rules being mongooses it almost begs the question why even bother with a joint project anymore? few tweaks and you have your own ruleset, after all CTA was just tweaked from other systems anyway. especially with the rules being revamped by ADB so it wont be mongooses rules anyway in t...

Re: [ACTA:SF] Discussion: taming the Klingons
yes in FC disrupters dont outrange photons. thing is nobody ever fired photons at max range as its a waste of power so disrupters are actually the most accurate long range weapons in the game, which is why klingons sabre dance as they can actually hit consistently at that range. as for the front shi...

Re: Interest in buying fleets?
At this point I need to hear something regarding the actual ACTA:SF game system having new content added. Wanting to keep the Starline 2500's in production is all well and good but that's not ACTA:SF specific; they can be used for Federation Commander as well. I want to hear what's new regarding th...

Re: [ACTA: B5] Looking to sell original box set plus 2nd edi
well for the main box I can see it for $30 or less on ebay at the moment. and thats the expensive thing. everything else, well as billco said, good luck with that.
best to put it on ebay yourself as doubt you will get a buyer here at that price
