Re: Traveller Release Schedule

Ooh, I like the sound of a new adventure line set in Deneb. Should add value to my Behind the Claw book. Multiple new adventure lines, no less. I'm looking forward to seeing what Seth S has done with Arcturus Station. Can I ask what kind of content the Fifth Frontier book will be? I'm currently runn...

Re: Traveller Symposium on Fantasy Grounds - Friday 16th

Ah. Midnight on Friday night, I see.

I'm unlikely to be sober then, I'm afraid. =D

The Star Child

Has anyone ever run the adventure The Star Child? First published in Signs & Portents, then republished in MgT1e Compendium Vol 1. There's the bones of a decent scenario there, although it needs some thinking about and fleshing out beforehand or it will be very easy for players to either derail, or ...

Any rough ballpark timeline on the rewritten murder on arcturus station? (and is that the same as something I've seen referred to as "mysteries of arcturus station"?)
Around end of Q1 2021!
That's absolutely perfect. :)

Thanks!

Re: State of the Mongoose 2020

Any rough ballpark timeline on the rewritten murder on arcturus station? (and is that the same as something I've seen referred to as "mysteries of arcturus station"?) I was just about to start working on a rewrite of my own (to drop it into the Islands in the Rift situation), but if Seth S is doing ...

Re: JTAS sensor rules

We know from the 2e core rulebook that you can reduce this by powering down non-essential systems, like "the chicken soup dispenser on deck C", and this halves power requirements (that seems a bit high, but good for playability). Is this as far as we want to go with this? What about lighting? Proba...

Re: JTAS sensor rules

But this leads me immediately to 2 follow-on questions - 1. How is the "ship systems" part of the power requirements divided up between the various components it encompasses? We know from the 2e core rulebook that you can reduce this by powering down non-essential systems, like "the chicken soup dis...

Re: JTAS sensor rules

Alternatively +1 per 100 power points? You probably want an exponential scale, since large ships like battleships can easily use 100000 Power. Something like: <1 Power: -3 <10 Power: -2 <100 Power: -1 <1000 Power: 0 <10000 Power: +1 <100000 Power: +2 <1000000 Power: +3 This would place many small c...

Re: Behind the Claw - Now in Stock!

I'd just like to say that this book surpassed expectations. It's a thing of beauty and a pleasure just to read for reading's sake. You convinced me to buy it. :) I was undecided as it will probably be a while before I get to run a campaign again, but sounds like it would be good to have on the shel...

Re: Finally: Traveller Trading Tool

In case you did not notice or login for a while. The site got some improvements. We implemented paging on most pages. Because in our own campeign there is a lot of data already so it took a while to load it all. That should be a lot faster now. And we have new icons for a lot of things. We think it...

Re: Behind the Claw - Now in Stock!

The Beyond and Vanguard Reaches. That's precisely what I was guessing! Very interesting. They're not regions that have received much, if any, official coverage in the past, right? But just from a meander around travellermap I get the feeling this will make *extremely* interesting reading! I'll prob...

Re: Behind the Claw - Now in Stock!

Thank you for your kind words, we will bear them in mind. You will be pleased to know that we have two more sector books already in the works - the Solomani Front will appear before the end of the year and the Spinward Extents early-ish next year! Interesting! What sectors does the Spinward Extents...

Re: Great Rift Adventure 1: Islands in the Rift 2D Deck Plan

Hi. I don't mean the covert, pop up turrets. I mean the openly visible turrets on the top of the ship.

But don't worry, even I can just copy and paste a couple of icons in Paint. :)

Cheers,

Si.

Re: Great Rift Adventure 2: Deepnight Endeavour

Well, I am up against it. I have about a month to finish the deckplans, i.e., furnishings, etc., before I will be to the point of needing to run The Deepnight Endeavour. I have it mostly ready, but would really like to have it right. I see my players really enjoying thoroughly exploring the ship an...

Ah! Just one tiny thing you missed - the ceiling iris valves to the dorsal turrets. But I can add those myself in, like 2 minutes.

This is great, thanks again.

Re: Great Rift Adventure 1: Islands in the Rift 2D Deck Plan

That looks perfect to me. (which is apt! :D ). Thanks! I think the pop up turrets and aux power are controlled from the covert systems room, so don't strictly need separate access, although you'd think you'd need access for maintenance? Anyway, this is more than good enough for my purposes. Looking ...

No, but I will renew my efforts to get it done in the next day or so. I would like to run that adventure some day and could use a set of 2D deck plans for it myself.
Great, thanks! :)
