Thinking of Selling my SST stuff

As per the above title, I have a baby on the way, and I need to make some cash. I am selling a lot of stuff, but what is relevant here is SST. Sadly, I have decided to part with it, and it is not easy. Please PM me with offers if your interested. I have a nice little stock of stuff, but the memory i...

Re: Tales of the Three Kingdoms

I set out on running this campaign to flesh out my own setting as the players progressed from adventure to adventure. I had a rough outline in my head, and fleshed out only what I needed for each game, and adding material to the world between games. It is still a work in progress. Seeing as I did no...

Tales of the Three Kingdoms

It's been well past time for me to post my game up here. I am still running MRQ1, but hey, its all the same (well no, but close), so I thought I would share my GMing with the community here. Note: I'll be editing this and adding other posts with info, this is WIP. I do not have the character sheets ...

Re: Organising the game...

Well, we had the game, but damn it was frustrating organising it - a good time was had by all. I'll post a 'batrep' of it shortly. The Pirate - attended The Sun Knight - attended The Water Knight - attended The Goblin - attended The Wood Elf - attended The Noob - attended (henceforth human Lord) The...

Re: Who would you choose?

I'm going to chop your post down piece by piece in details, bare with me: Its because the two games I've run with Legend have shown that the choices of the players can better define the game setting. Have you run two scenarios/sessions or two campaigns? If you have run two one offs, maybe run a camp...

Re: Who would you choose?

Why limit what players can choose? Freedom can add more layers to the game, or a PC might end up creating a character that adds something to your campaign or setting that wasn't obvious or apparent. Also, the phrasing of your first paragraph is a bit odd, and the sentences all sorta run in together....

Organising the game...

I know this subject has been done to death in GMs guides and the likes, but I would like to address my own personal example with the community as I nearly lost my temper today over trying to organise a game. My group are mainly wargamers, some of which are experienced roll-players (50-50 split). We ...

Using Fantasy Archtypes in my setting

So, I am creating my own setting. While it is work in progress, I also have a vision in my head of how it is shaped and works. I am approaching it though, with an inspiration behind the Eberron setting, but not as an influence. The competition Wotc did way back when had the entrant create a setting ...

Re: Anyone interested in online or similar Mongoose Runeques

The setting is fantasy, but where say Tolkien's main world is influenced by norse and germanic mythology, mine is a mix of several tropes of fantasy: there is a small bit of rail, blackpowder exists and goes hand in hand with knights and magic, but the setting is on par with the early renaissance an...

Re: I want more

I have not played legend, but if your GMing a game, do whatever the heck you want. For instance, I ran seasoned characters in Mongoose Runequest 1. Aside from what players had normal access to from Runecasting, having a slightly higher starting level, and money, I gave them 6 points to spend on spel...

Re: How would you finish this character up with the core rul

A few weakness at first glance, to be rectified in this order: (1) Grimoire skill should most certainly be improved. (2) Persistence and resilience are pretty weak. (3) Perception and common magic could go up. (3) First aid can be useful. (4) A combat skill and dodge should be raised a little. Maybe...

Re: The Hounds of Tarmsen

Jeepers thats a long post!

I read about the first third and the last paragraph. It would be easier to read split up into say 'chapters' over several posts, but it looked like a good game.

That was a prewritten scenario yes? Sounds like ye had good fun.

Anyone interested in online or similar Mongoose Runequest 1?

I ran out of space with the title. I am thinking of running a Mongoose runequest 1 game as a play by post game, or if a better alternative can be determined, some other way. It will be a fantasy game, set in my own home brew setting. Any queeries, comments or such, please post here, or PM me, whiche...
