Re: How much have The Pcs pissed off The GeDeCo

A friend says that approaching the half-way point of her Pirates of Drinax Campaign The Pcs took out A Cr 500,000,000 loan to fully upgrade their Starport from Wildemann with GeDeCo. They then did blackmailed GeDeCo with what they knew to write off them debt then still sold what they knew to The As...

Re: Are they too ambitious?

If a player is making 412,500 a month with only a ship mortgage of ~87k, whats his motivation for adventuring? He clearly is out earning his expenditure

Re: Is it a reasonable task chain?

do your friends only ever run Drinax - its a great campaign I give you but surely after its 1024th run through you must be bored of it by now - especially as all your players own the known galaxy :p

Just so you know, it is possible to do a whole campaign where the players only have one ship (and that has a mortgage) :)

He needs to learn how to use Sage Line 50 then you turn your campaign into an accountant simulator, that's all.

/sigh, here we go again

If they did indeed bankrupt Drinax to buy all these things, its fine - the crews will soon leave as soon as they stop getting paid, problem solved.

Re: Is it the right thing to do?

Something that happened back in the 90's when I was a player in the 1st ever Edition of Traveller was my groups 200 Ton Far Trader was in Space when The GM rolled A 100 on his Custom Made 1D100 Encounters Table, that meant that our mere 200 ton Ship was facing A Custom Build 3D6+15x100 or 3,000 ton...

Re: Suggested fleets if I do it again

If you are looking for a new group, why not just start again.

Session 1 get all your players to make the toons with the tables, careers and starting equipment listed in the books/adventures. Then start fresh :)

It would be helpful to actually post the tables for us to look at, you know?
It probably looks like this

d66

11 100 billion of everything
12-66 200 billion of everything else (with a free 150 billion of everything)

Re: What would happen

If it was real life - there would be many questions asked, if its ingame - you decide as GM. Not really sure what kind of answer you are looking for as (upon reading the many questions you have asked), I think the only question you havent asked this forum is what you think you should have your playe...

Use a calculator :)

Or just pick an amount of profit they can make (a few thousand creds perhaps), or you can just give them a billion credits and a fleet of trading ships

The passage of time in low berths

Hi All Apologies if this has been answered (or in the rulebooks and I am just blind), but whilst in low berth is the passenger affected by time at a reduced rate, and if so by how much, or not affected at all? Just with the adventure Flatlined and the Great Rift, my current party of players all get ...

Re: making deadly weapons fun

Good points all, I would just worry that it would make players think that combat is something that can breeze into just because they have some of these points left over. Take away the total deadliness and silly ideas like "a charge across the minefield into the heavy guns, at noon" might start to sn...
