Re: Sophontarianism?!? We are warriors!

Thanks for the lively debate, Baldo! Every rule has exceptions, of course (the Aslan prophet Tarelriylr is one, for example, and cosmopolitan worlds like Tisilli, Oyoiy and Ahoahea do exist), but when your neighbour is *trillions* of touchy and belligerent Aslan, and not the rare exceptions, you te...

Sophontarianism?!? We are warriors!

JTAS 2, page 101, has this: As Yuleihehar, the famous epic poet of clan Hlyueawi, once said: Slavery diminishes all involved. It strips the slave of his dignity and freedom, and deprives the master of his sophontarianism . Sophontarianism? Since when the Aslan care about other sophonts? "Races encou...

The reason those titles are on EU Amazon (and the Great Rift)... Yes and no. :) https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=mongoose+traveller+rift&i=stripbooks&ref=nb_sb_noss Waited a few days for developments, but only Amazon UK has the various Great Rift titles (and the Naval stuff) available for order, Amazon...

Re: JTAS errata

JTAS 2 has many little errors (for example, why "2 additional airlocks" are listed in the Quiet Vigilance SDB stats -p. 88- ?), however the updated JTAS 1 gained a new Errata after revision: JTAS 1, page 33 "The cities of Cocta and New Okayama, lying on opposite ends of Lake Okayama... " is now wron...

Re: Pirates of Drinax - GMs thread

On a related point - Treasure Ship mentions the 'Treaty of Ftaharl' and it's ban on Hierate expansion within 30 pc of the Imperial border. This is wildly contradicted by the current borders on the Traveller map, where the point of closest approach looks to be 10 pc. I have some ideas about how to h...

Re: Mongoose Publishing and Amazon UK IT FR DE ES

Returned home from a short vacation, started surfing Amazon.it for a few things I need and... WHAT?! Element Class Cruisers Blueprints (€28,89) and Naval Adventure 1: Shakedown Cruise (€8,56) on sale HERE? Needed some time to overcome the shock first (really!), but managed to grab all the av...

A brand new line of Traveller fiction has just been released...
Are you adding this new line to the Mongoose Release Schedule page too? PDFs and printed books are welcome. :)

Does Mongoose know the "Printed Release Date" for Exodus? And what happens to the "Shipping and Handling: £8" if I pre-order different books with a single order?

Getting this next time I do a multiple books order :) , but I have a Christopher-Griffen-related question: do you think we'll see a printed Makergod from Mongoose Publishing anytime in the future?

Huh? As a native speaker of Italian, I find "Ishimshulgi" and (especially) "Afawahisa" VERY easy to pronounce and/or remember. Who said you need space travel to encounter alien words?

I always look for ways to keep printed and therefore canonical stuff true without wholesale changes.
Oh well, I keep hoping Matt admits defeat, and give us the Holy Grail of Mongoose Traveller: official Errata files for the entire book line! :P

Naah, too complicated. Just replace Hkakh with a different world in the commercial PDFs of Pirates of Drinax, and pretend nothing happened.

Who controls Hkakh?

JTAS Volume Three has this: The Arhiyao Clan : Another requested article, this time from the old Compendiums. A close look at a minor Aslan clan. Loved that article, but something needs clarification. In The Prodigal Outcast ( Pirates of Drinax , book 1, pages 212 and 220), the planet Hkakh (Ranib/...

Re: T20’s on Bundle of Holding- useful for a MG2 game?

Define "relevant." Hmm, "still existing"/"valid"/"canon"/etc. in 1105, maybe? You're right, adapting whatever you want for your campaign is easy, but I still would like to have that K'Kree/Gateway Sector book hinted by Matt in the State Of the Mongoose 2018 thread, not the old version of the same. ...

The Gateway setting Martin wrote looks great. Very well written with lots of intriguing factions, astrography, and subplots.
But the T20 books are set in the year 993, how much is still relevant 'today' for Mongoose Traveller players?

Baldo: what are you hoping to discover? Adventurous places to visit, of course! :D However your examples are perfect already, just add some (interdicted?) planets where the cleansing of g'naak fauna caused ecological disaster on a BIG scale for more variety. I simply think that "empty hole" named R...

Re: JTAS Kickstarter - Funded and Stretch Goals Unlocked

I've seen the starmaps for the Dynchia and the Girug'kagh articles, and I've a few questions: 1): It's good to see Melantris is now 'official' (see The Source of Truth™ , where it's listed as "Unofficial"), but how many planets the Dynchia Comitia controls? Do you have the borders of this interstell...

Re: Journal of the Travellers' Aid Society - Kickstarter is Live!

I've read only a few articles of the Free Sample so far, but I have two suggestions: 1): As a Italian native, I say "Simone Garibaldi" is basically wrong (the name, NOT the article). In Italy, "Simone" is a male name (women here use "Simon a "), and "Garibaldi" is a fairly rare surname (and usually ...
