Re: JTAS errata

Loved the Mainstrider 300T in JTAS 4, but noticed one (or two, not sure) Errata (page 11): 1): The price for the Weapons is for the empty double turrets ONLY. Adding 2 pulse lasers and 2 beam lasers + 2 missile racks raises the costs to MCr2.5 and MCr3.5 (MCr84.865 total); 2): No 10% discount appli...

Ooooh, not 21 (a few titles were PODs already), but great news nevertheless :D , I'm definitely getting a couple of the new PODs before Brexit.

Re: JTAS errata

Pirates of Drinax, Book 1 has the clan name spelled two ways: Tokohfealr and Tokohfearl. I think it's actually OK for multiple spellings of alien words. It adds to the realism. Consider the world today, where foreign words in a different alphabet are translated to English and spelled differently. "...

To be tiresomely pedantic, it is 0810/Ranib, the subsector, but 0840/Trojan Reach, the sector.
Huh? You learn something new every day, I believed those stats were for "Hex and Subsector" and not for "Hex in the Subsector" ...

Pedanticness is good.

http://forum.mongoosepublishing.com/viewtopic.php?f=89&t=122014 I've read the new version of The Arhiyao Clan in JTAS 3 and *loved* the solution to the 'Hkakh Dilemma' above :D . Re: Recent book store find

I’m about halfway through it. It’s a little cthulu-ish weird for my tastes, but its very good. Naaah, getting killed by the Monster of the Week is more amusing than failing that Survival roll during Character Creation  . See Alien , for example: very cthulu-ish but still Hard SF, I think. One ...

I'll go with "depends of TL". 21st Century Terra or Aramis/Aramis in 1105 share one thing: the wrist watch! I *NEED* a wrist watch, I *ALWAYS* get a wrist watch as soon as possible. Usually, I start with a TL10 wrist watch with a radio transceiver and a Translator program, adding upgrades later (do...

A general-purpose lab vessel might make do with drones and small craft optimized for specific environments, perhaps with modular science packages; the main vessel would provide quarters, labs, workshops, and small craft space.
Deepnight Endeavour comes to mind...

I’m receptive to the idea that they would have no problem filling the hold with cargo bound for Browne at a high price, but what about the return trip ? Try with people.
