Re: Aliens of Charted Space Vol. 1 - It Is Here!
Well, I don't know if we need a reason to hit Vargr with bats. It is the only way they will learn... We wanted to create a slightly greater spread between various alien races. This is only a slight dip - remember, characteristics do not work quite the same in Traveller as (say) traditional D&D-styl...

Re: JTAS Vol.4 Sensors questions
+8 sounds right. Remember that at this stage it’s just about detecting, not identifying or getting detailed readings. A ship using active jammers sends out massive amounts of signals to overwhelm enemy sensors, so it should be simple to see that something is out there, but it might be very difficul...

JTAS Vol.4 Sensors questions
Hi,
Page 40 details LPI and ELPI modification to sensors but there is no associated cost to implement them. Is it written somewhere else ? Did I miss something ?
Page 41 Detection mods : For jammers, shouldn't it be "-8" instead of "+8" ?
Thanks for your help.
JNJ

Any update about Behind the Claw ? WIll PDF version be released in October or will it be postponed to November (with JTAS, Deepnight and so on to manage at the same time) ? Behind the Claw is 'this' close to completion! Cassie is just doing the last of the deck plans right now (currently ploughing ...

Re: JTAS 5 - Page 124 - The great escape
So it appears. I'm sure they'll fix it for the final. The wording of the sentence, "For the sake of simplicity, the referee may simply determine the distance to the jump point and then double the escaping ship’s speed toward that point each round" is also faulty. It should say something to the effe...

There is written :
"The first method uses the following equation:"
No equation after, but one above...maybe misplaced or a missing one ?

Hi Matthew,
Will there be a poster map of the Spinward Marches coming with the book ? Would be great.
My old one is somewhere...but where ?

Re: Behind the Claw
There is a HUGE amount of new stuff :) Absolutely every word of the original has been checked, re-checked and, if necessary, revised. Deneb has been pretty much completely re-written, and there is a bulk hauler's worth of new material in the book. I mean, a lot. Just the new playable alien races al...

Re: Traveller Fiction
I read Chris Jackson's "A Warrior's Soul" and really enjoyed it. It takes place on a world that happens to be a key spot in the Drinax campaign, which made the story very relatable. Well written and fun. I've also read Martin Dougherty's "The Dimenos Problem," which was also great. Looking forward ...

Can someone please design me A 600 ton Wyvern to use in Pirates of Drinax?. I'm very out of practise at doing ships that small. Re: MGT1 Trade question
As far as I can tell the inclusion of the DMs for varying TLs in MgT2 only applies to Freight availability, not Buyer availability, as in MgT1. And this may be an indication that the Mgt1 DM's were not meant to apply in both directions. However, I personally think it makes sense that they would app...
